Scarlet and Violet has good sets. So many people wanted to be all negative, and make no moves. Now look, these same people want it. There's still opportunity. Several small distributors are charging $20 under market for wholesale on sets that are 6 months old or longer. They aren't offering initial wholesale pricing on TWM, PAR, PAL, OBF currently.

I think I posted this before, I play pokemon and run a LGS when Twilight came out it sold out in a week. When people asked me if the set was good I said yes its very good, from a game standpoint it has some of the strongest cards in the meta and giving the new rotation those cards will see play for 2 and a half years

I have been buying Japanese pokemon for a while now, and saving a TON of money.
The English prices are Ridiculous, A $35 English card will be like $3 in japanese.
Today's world ya buy any set between $95-$110/box unless it does just as SV Base did. That is the way it is. I got my 3-5 boxes per set at all low$ entry buys so no longer need to worry about playing the stupid game of seeing if it goes to $80/box. FFS

I’m sorry. This is all my fault. I’ve been preordering SV booster boxes before release. Usually from 105-110 shipped. Then I watch them all dip under 100 for a bit. With Twilight I said I was going to wait it out. So, because I didn’t preorder, it never dipped. That’s my typical luck. Luckily I was paying attention and saw it climbing and did get my boxes for 111 shipped. I still got in at my regular range and feel lucky I did. LOL.

Someone explain to me why 36pk boxes go up in price while ETBs for the same set sit on store shelves and collect dust and go on discount. Seems like an artificial market for the 36pk box. If the set is that hot, why haven’t all configurations sold out?

Very good comment. I don't understand either... during pandemic, when my local lgs was completely out of Pokemon boosters and boxes a Mom and his son came to buy any pokemon boosters... ANY boosters. tThe "very motivated clerk" said "We are out of stock" then the mom saw a Tin box of pokemon containing boosters and asked if those would do the job... Then the clerk went into a long speech why meta something or EV of those boosters insode were not the best, blah blah blah. And the customers went away.
I know those boxes or things takes space, and thats why a small store would not like them, but there is come psychological effect preventing them from being good seller in LGS (They tend to sell better a big retail stores).

Pokémon is allocating less to distributors all of a sudden. if there was more stock of TM booster boxes, the price would be $100. Supply and demand issue and Scarlet & Violet has grown on collectors all of a sudden.
