This little behind-the-scenes mini series is really cool, especially for a band that has always kept things ‘in house’ and not really allowed the outside world to have this much of a look inside. Even Flight 666 didn’t go this far in depth.

The interesting thing is...its probably true. Hard to top that act. Three virtuosos on guitar, a bass player inspiringly good in his own right, a celebrated rock drummer that's known for his skill, a legendary lead vocalist with operatic level chops.
Not hard to see why people herald Iron Maiden as "greatest band ever." The credentials are all there.

I saw Maiden in [ 1986 ] at Madison Square Garden. It was the Caught Somewhere in time Tour. My buddy used to work for " Rockbill magazine", and got me to the front row. BEST CONCERT EVER!!!💯🤘🤘😎💪💪💪
This is really cool, but it leaves me wanting more. Seeing how the lighting cues and stuff work during the actual concert would be sick.
Would also love to see a rundown like this for the pyro and effects!

my only complaint about this rig is the lack of moving . final frontier had the 3 trusses that acted like space ships and moved, book of souls had the 'sun' that moved , legacy had the revelations candles come down, seventh son 2013 and SBIT 2008 had the whole rig come down for mariner/afraid to shoot strangers. otherwise, it looks neat.
Poewrslave tour I thought that the whole light system would come crashing down on the band during Rime of the Ancient Mariner song it sounded like the ship was creaking and you were transported to an old time that was Cool .
@@johndevaney3054 I couldn't agree more. That Powerslave rig of the 80's was the best one they ever had IMO. It just morphed and and transformed with every song.

Like Rob, also my first gig ever SOT back in '86. Will never forget. And this new tour is been awesome. From the intro and Caught somewhere in time, just emotional moments and really feelin' like bein' back in time. Love the led lines and triangle theme lightning.
Brilliant lighting, brilliant stage settings, my son and I had the most amazing night at the O2 watching one of the best bands ever…up the irons 🤘🖤

1986 was my first time seeing them too awesome. saw them in Birmingham they are incredible on this new tour as well the playing singing stage lighting and sound is brilliant
The only thing I wish Maiden would have done is had the original stage layout of the Somewhere in Time Tour minibus the inflatables . I really liked the openness of that stage! Can not wait to see the Might Maiden in the States!!!!UP THE IRONS🤘😎🤘

While I appreciate the modern light rig and work behind it, the Powerslave light rig of the 80's was the best IMO. The way it morphed and unfolded was jaw dropping awesome.
That thing was magnificent. The way it came right down on top of them in Rhyme of The Ancient Mariner

A bit geeky but I'd love to know how you safely organise shooting flares across the stage while the band is playing. Awesome show but how you do that safely is bugging me.

Great lighting on this tour. Wish the band would do away with the follow spots on each band member all the time. The big circles they create ruin the atmosphere of the lighting on the stage and cart drapes.

The shows were much more interesting & entertaining when Dave Lights was LD for Maiden’s show. Now Maiden is a cookie cutter show & production…😢
Stage looks nothing like the original stage production! What does Maiden have against 1986/87 tour??? Horrible stage design this tour! I could design a better Maiden show more like the 86 / 87 stage! Maiden has turned to corporate & old to care any more.
