Matter of fact, RM is doing a collaboration with Pharrell Williams. Whatever BTS touch turns into gold. I’m a 47 y/o husband and father of two and I’ve had the privilege to live through 4 eras of music. 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2020s. I will have to say….in my unbiased opinion…BTS has done more for the world than any artist or group in our time. Their music touched the heart and bridge the gaps of age, race, and gender. So proud that my 12 y/o daughter got me into BTS💜💜💜💜

I am sure it has been mentioned that RM has a song with Wale called Change. And a recent one with a group called Balming Tiger called Sexy Nukim. Their a Korean group and the song is fire. Jhope has a solo album called Jack in the Box he's in the rap line of BTS as well. The live concert he performed at Lalapalooza in July of 2022 is soooo good. He has a collab with Crush the song is Rush Hour. They have worked with many other artists yes, but it is usually as a group. We are now starting to see more individual collabs that I feel the group has chosen personally to work with. Artists such as Ed Sheeran has Co-written a couple of songs for BTS Make it Right and Permission to dance.
When I tell you they studied the greats, they have studied the greats. OMG I forgot they have a whole song devoted to hip-hop called Hip Hop Phile.

Their music speaks to all ages, but if you into all genres like I do, this group is dope. They do jazz, latin, rap, pop, rock, etc what can I say......the Army is growing - young and old....
BTS' rapline is top tier. Their songs had to be explained by Korean ARMYs because of the wordplay they use. RM raps with his Mind, Suga with his Soul and Jhope with his Heart. All 3 are so different but oh so amazing individually and as a group.

So, so, so many features! For real they have collaborated with half the artists you have heard of. Ed Sheeran? Yep. Charlie Puth? Yep. Megan the Stallion? Yep. Nicki Minaj? Yep. Snoop Dog? Yep. Wale? Yep. Juice World? Twice. Lil Nas X? Yeah. Cold Play? Absolutely. Pharrell? Coming to his next album. There are even rumors that V is coming out with a collab with Lady Gaga. But very few of their songs get Radio air time. I’ve heard two of their English songs on the radio, but while they are fun songs I don’t really think their English songs are representative of who they are as a group.

The most powerful Born Singer mv is the first one when they were younger... you just wanted to cry, then they turned out to the audience and wow. This is good but for me the 1st is the best.
Seeing these guys sang it when they were just starting out as kids really hit you in the feels. Seeing them singing this when they are on too a decade later feels a different type of way but similarly very moving. Appreciate your commentary.
dude they have a crazy amount of western collabs. I mean Nicki Minaj featured in their song IDOL, RM and Suga have a feature with Juice WRLD and Suga was most recently a feature in Juice's posthumous album (none of them have mvs).

This sounds like a different audio version of their Born singer from the one from Proof live (in the video) I think this is the studio version? It's still good but I highly recommend you watch the Proof live version. The one of that video but with the audio of that one. It's a great great version.
as for radio... BTS does do and also have features. The main problem is US radio refuses to give them substantial air time. We even had DJs make fun of the fanbase for requesting BTS. They even make people jump through hoops like sarcastically making joke and things like "guess my middle name then I'll play it" or if they do finally play it it's at a really dead time. We constantly join the most requested live polls and obviously win it but they don't play the songs. Even if our fanbases have questioned it were often ignored. So... It's really an uphill battle. I remember one Dj even said he wouldn't play their song because he was so sick of ARMY requesting it. 🙄
It's true, this video is an edit with the studio version on the Proof Live image.
This sample was presented a month after their debut in 2013 but was never part of an album, until Proof, which is an anthology released last June for their 9th anniversary. RM updated the lyrics of his verses.
Hopefully you can see the Proof Live as the venue, the band and the live choir gave it a great atmosphere, and a very different vibe.

Problem is western radio don't like playing non-english, especially BTS, yes a special mention coz they sell out stadiums & out sell western albums but radio doesn't play them. Army in the past even had to send flowers, food and shit to stations for them to request BTS.

It's possible that BTS has the biggest fan base of any musical artist in history. I say that because there are so many more people now than when the Beatles or MJ were big.
They contacted J. Cole way back in 2013 and he gave permission for them to do this song. He was a huge influence on their early work. J-Hope kind of worships him, at least he used to😊. I don't know why they have never done a collab, I wish they would cause I love them both.

Somebody has superimposed the old live version song onto this live version. Suga doesn't say 'shit' and Jimin doesn't do the high pitch ending in this current live version. Why anyone would do that is beyond me as it makes them look like they are lip syncing when they are live!!!

I became a fan by watching their performance on the Grammys.. they performed Butter. I knew who they were beforehand but that got me hooked. Now im a HUGE fan and listen to all of their music. RM has been rapping since he was 13 y o, Suga same as RM and the other rapper is JHope. These are the main rappers, although JK likes to rap as well. RM (also Producer) was the first to join BTS, and Suga, a producer was asked to join BTS which he did as he knew RM. JHope is a rapper as well as a choreographer. Add the other 4 to BTS which showcases 7 unique talents. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Nope! JK or Jungkook was the one who did the high note at the end 😄. He's the main vocalist and did it for that song. Now, Jimin may have an amazing and distinctive high voice that no one else really has, but he's not the only one who has a high falsetto. Literally, all of the vocalists can hit high notes. Jimin, JK, Jin, and V (even though V has the most baritone singing voice). But when you listen to them more and more and you watch performances, you'll be able to know who it is.
Jin has a less natural singing voice because he learned how to sing, but still sounds amazing. He has a high belt that also flows like river.
JK, as the main vocalist, has the sturdiest voice. It honestly sounds the most American. It has an R&B feeling to it.
V's is like deep honey, R&B, soul, and straight Jazz. He sounds very sultry and sometimes very melancholy.
Jimin's voice is honestly the personification of purity. It's like a high whisper. But it's not even much of a falsetto because his voice is high anyway. It's like an innocent child singing, but not 😀. And because he has the highest voice, many people assume every high note is his. But it's definitely not. They all have great ranges. But once you understand who they are and how they talk and sing, you'll be able to differentiate their sound.

They have been certified as the best selling recording artist in the world for the past two years, beating Taylor Swift or Drake or Adele. How much bigger do you think they can get? If it comes to radio that is just not gonna happen, bc BigHit, their company, around the 2018 when they started to break out to the western market, blatantly refused to pay the promoters and become a part of the shady payola schemes. They have principles and they wanted to become the best on their own. Nowadays, billboard and the radio cannot make money off them, so they try to do anything they can to undermine them, including billboard changing the charting rules multiple times and big radio companies not playing their songs, wheter there is demand for them or not( and believe me, there is a demand, people have been bombarding radios to play their songs, begging and begging and all they got in response from the DJs is xenophobia and rasism and misogyny)
So, unless BTS decides to let go of their honourable principles, there will be minimal radioplay for them. Sadly.

They do have some major features but I feel like thier biggest features are up and coming with their solo projects and future group stuff. RM hs an album coming out Friday with Erykah Badu, a joint with Pharrell coming. Jungkook has one out with Charlie Puthe, and the vocals have one with snoop. Jhope just released his solo album (dope af btw, check it out) no features but he stated that he wanted to use it as his “business card” so I’d expect some features from him soon. He did meet his idol (Cole world) at Lollapalooza and Big Sean.
