They found out he was adopted but not that his name was Gary...
They probably knew but didn't care lmao
they know his real name, they are doing the "jerry" thing on purpose.
You know, what if it turns out they didn't even search the right person
@@andrewsutherland133 that is so possible
Nice one!!
They found out his real name later, remember when Leslie was like, “Your real name is Garry??” In the court room place
"I didn't know I was adopted" I love how this is both sad and funny.
Tom's reaction to it was great as well.
@El Maroki on
That was just so hard to watch
At least he was wanted
But not by his biological parents. Boom!
More like cringe.
"I'll have your wife tonight". No, just in the later season lol.
He knew it was a joke, because she's not named "Tammy".
For real, I felt so bad for Tom how Ron did him dirty. He was in love with Wendy. Ron should have left it alone.
@@RBAWintrow but Ron doesn't joke.
@@brolygito yep
The number of HR complaints Gerry/Terry/Larry could have filed over the years is really astounding
I bet the HR rep has a cabinet file dedicated to Jerry's complaints
Hr is thse scum department
If the hr department is run by Toby, no one will care.
His bullying is the worst part of the show.
@@kb4903 ok snowflake
To everyone who's feeling sorry for Jerry he has a beautiful wife a stable marriage and 3 gorgeous daughters, besides he's a total winner at his house...
And a bid gick.
“The largest penis, I have ever seen.”
Yep.
@@nicholast.4933 "I actually don't even know if he has mumps. Forgot to look. I was distracted. By the largest penis I have ever seen."
Don't care. Lazy writing
The fact Ron was so comfortable quickly calling Tom by a nickname using his name just shows how much he actually likes him. Especially when he calls so many others on the show by the wrong name intentionally.
That was more because the writers of the show hadn't nailed down Ron's character. He did a lot of Non-Swansony things in the first season including that nick name and made unnecessary jokes.
@@1owaisahmad1 Nope, Ron and Tom are close. Look at later seasons- when Entertainment 720 collapsed, Ron was willing to act like he's begging Tom to get him to come back and work at the Parks department. He keeps financing Tom's various business ideas even though he screws it up somehow. When Tom gets his phone taken away by the judge, Ron invites Tom to his house (a privilege that only Leslie and April have gotten). In one of the talking heads, Ron openly admits that he likes Tom.
Ron’s favorite people, in order are:
1. April
2. Tom
3. Leslie, and
4. Andy
@@hittingyouoverthehead I never said they weren't close. his show of love to all the people you listed is warm and stoic. Cute nicknames was never a part of it. He would listen to all of these people, but say very little back. Never approached them himself for fun. Did it or if necessity.
That is consistent with his character. Like I said, 1st season hadn't nailed his character. He was a bit too chirpy.
@@1owaisahmad1 Agreed
That’s when they get to chummy….
“Yes, my mom’s name is also Tammy. What’s your point?”
PERfect acting there lol

total foreshadowing "Jerry won't be running for office, he's got charges for public urination" - and yet, how many years was he mayor without being challenged lol
33-35ish I think he was mayor until he died at 100 I'm not sure
also when he has his fart attack he says "this is a wake-up call, i want to spend another 30 years with gale and my daughters" and the man lives another 30-35!!!
Don't forget that even when he wasn't running, people loved his previous term so much that they voted him in through write in votes.
@@hittingyouoverthehead Something tells me Leslie started the write in campaign
The last time I was this quick, Mark Brendanawicz was still relevant on this show..
Maaaaaaaaaark
I kinda like him tbh, he just become this regular guy who bland, awkward and just try to live normally, felt sad that he is gone early, but i kinda get why he is gone
monke e what happened why did he left 🤔
@@kamikazyy- I believe he didn't think the show would go anywhere, based on early reception
@@mylescasey1771 It was more about his character not having a place on the show. Ron and Andy really broke out and cannibalized whatever role Mark was supposed to occupy in the ensemble.
Jerry's "I didn't know i was adopted..." makes me laugh so hard.
Lmao. So you enjoy the pain of others

Epic Ron Swanson! 😂
Mark feeling bad is what made him a decent character. Everyone else just found it funny
Honestly I dislike marks character. I’m glad he ended up leaving the show.
Oh, thank goodness I’m not the only one!!!
His character was so obviously the show runners trying to clone The Office
I also didn’t like his character. Not bc he did anything wrong. It was bc he had a boring personality. He was just normal. We don’t wanna see normal on tv. We wanna see quirky
@@cya2139 he probably would have worked better in the office. The office is much more grounded than this show. Not hate on parks and rec I prefer it.
I think they would have found a way to work him in and still make it a great show. But what happened, happened.
I find it hard to Believe you could any traces of Ron on the internet
I didn’t think he knew the full extent of what is on there until April enlightened him :P
His chair!
Marriage records might have been kept in City Hall.
He didn’t know yet
I always just assumed that Tom found out after an incident during the years they worked together
I really appreciate how genuine aziz ansari’s acting comes off in the scene when Ron is talking about his marriage.
"Fine, you bested me. Is that all?".
"No, I'll have your wife tonight".
:P lol lol

He wasn’t completely kidding tho

Marks comment about the voters not being able to tell the difference between an old Halloween photo and something real is honestly spot on 😂
“TOM COULD YOU COME INTO MY OFFICE!”
Damn i love when he says that.
Is Jerry the Pawnee strangler? Cause Mark did not show up soon after.
This joke is solid
This joke is liquid
this joke is plasma
This joke is gas
This joke is chemistry
I always felt so bad for Jerry... He was genuinely such a nice guy and has a beautiful family. He was the most pure, innocent, and adorable character on the show, it made me sad how mean they were to him 😔
I could imagine wanting to go home as quick as I could If I was him.
right. eventually it wasn’t funny anymore, just depressing 💀
I think that was part of the joke, but he did win in the end
It was always endearing that Ben was nice to him.
Which is a bit ironic, because he's actually called Garry.
Poor Jerry

Mark's reaction is just awesome
I know it was Jerry's whole reason of existing, but seeing people make him feel bad or making fun of him, or being how they were to him the whole of his character broke my heart, again and again
*AND AGAIN*
"I'll have your wife tonight,no,get Outta here."
Amogh Shukla he had her later though

She'll probably get American citizenship as easily and as quick as Gilfoyle did.
What was really weird about her character was that she went back to Canada almost immediately after getting her citizenship.

It's so funny
Breaks my heart to see Jerry so sad
But not enough for you to use his real name
So glad they so drastically changed Ron's character with Mark's departure.
The Adoption joke is still one of the best in the show
Don't wanna sound preachy in a clearly comedic setting but it is advised to always say your mum or your dad and not your adopted mum or dad because of situations like this. In real life this could cause very bad emotions trauma.
Just saying. Peace😊
Delta Donatus I absolutely agree. I do not find that joke funny at all don’t know why the writers included it. It’s just crossed the line for me. And thanks for the tip!
@@JustThatOneRandomGuy its a joke
@@JustThatOneRandomGuy dont like a joke? Better let everyone know that you're morally superior in the comments
@@pup123434 whether or not something is funny is absolutely subjective. A common method in making something offensive funny is if it’s funnier than it is offensive, but that level is up to the listener to decide. For me it crossed the line, but if it didn’t for you then great, at least u got to enjoy that segment of the show.
I think we now all know they could have found a lot more dirt on Louis CK
Jerrys' actor and character did not deserve the abuse that the others inflicted upon him throughout the whole show. Especially from Tom.
Nepo Nepo what does it have to do with the actor it was scripted that way and as soon as they yelled cut they were probably all friends
Yeah, but married to Christie Brinkley and the largest penis ever seen kind of makes up for it.
Dude they are actors. It’s apart of the show. They’re all good friends in real life
I don't think Jim O' Hair has any complaints since all the people involved on P&R, including him, were having the time of their lives. You just sound like a baby.
Especially Mark! didn't even exist for most of the show
So mark sat on the duke silver fact and didn’t reveal it in front of everyone
That’s a true friend
“Say it, say I bested you”. Such chad energy from Ron when he delivers this line
Hate that they NEVER brought up Mark again... dude just vanished
Like the leftovers
who’s mark?
Yeah, like he was litterally a main character for 2 seasons
Pretty sure Jerry/Gary made sure no one ever saw him again after that.
im glad. never really cared for mark
The show was really mean to Jerry. That always made me uncomfortable
That's the problem with all sitcoms. Because actual character growth would mean they stop making jokes about things specifically invented to make jokes - the characters become more and more unlikable as time passes because they never change, they never stop making the same mistakes, and their most awful traits are repeated over and over and over again.
It's like having that one funny friend who gets you with the sharp comments never knowing when to stop. It goes from being funny, to being mean, to actual cruelty.
Me too. He was the only guy on the show who, with an exception of maybe Swanson, who weren't terrible people.
The Cleaning Lady Ron would sometimes play in the joke but I think Ben was the only one nice to Jerry
Thats why im happy of what they did with Jerry life they gave him a life that we always want. A nice home, a amazing wife that sticks by him through the hardest time, kids that love him, he a amazing dad, and well the largest you know what

“Mark, a little birdie told me that you have an unpaid parking ticket.”
“Well, Jerry a little birdie told me your adoption mother was arrested for possession of marijuana.”
4:01 and Ron got her
0:41 I love this part so much
Poor Jerry. That was an A-bomb for him. Reminded me of the Friends scene when Chandler told that boy he was adopted. 😮😄
The point of this game was to find dirt that a potential political opponent might use against you. In that respect, I wouldn't say what they found on Ron counted. So he married two women with the same name and he plays a musical instrument. What's scandalous about that?
It's Ron.
@@MrLTiger So? Let's say he ran on libertarian platforms. What they found is still nothing. In fact, if Ron's opponent decides to say attack him for having mommy issues. That will backfire badly on them because who he marries is his business. Voters who believe in libertarian principles especially would take Ron's side.
However, if a fellow libertarian wanted to attack Ron, it's quite easy. All they have to do is point out that he works for the Parks and Recreation department, not just a government agency but one of the most non essential government agencies which eats up taxpayer money to do government lawn maintenance and gardening. That's the dirt that they should have said about Ron.
@@hittingyouoverthehead My dad is actually a Libertarian who works for the federal government. His reasoning is they will pay somebody, so it might as well be him getting proper use out of taxpayer dollars.
Yes, he loves Ron Swanson.
Because Ron has an inflated sense of pride and those two things poke it directly.
