A lot of time has passed since Rigo exhibited his great technical mastery over Nonito Donaire. That said, a very fair win for Astrolabio, who I hope develops into an elite fighter under the proper training and tutelage. He can be a Pinoy great.
Its crazy, I think at this point Nonito could beat Rigo..Nonito still pretty sharp at bantamweight, but Rigo has really lost his step..Astrolabios focus in this fight was impressive..Him and the Martinez that beat ancajas both showed incredible focus..

Tbh after his recent performance Vincent Astrolabio and great performance against rigondeaux he is probably one of the best fillipino fighters to get a chance at a world championship. Him and Mark Magsayo, who recently made a trainer change have a great shot at being champions currently.

I feel sorry for Rigo. I'm really not interested in watching his fights. He knows that people find him to be boring so he tries to get in there and trade shots, but when he does, he gets rocked by guys that normally can't touch him. But if he is being defensive, he's barely throwing anything and nobody wants to watch.

Anyone who outfoxes a slick master like Rigo will always have my respect. Rigo's style is a very difficult one to deal with. The Cuban school of boxing's just soo good.
