I can also confirm that the Riffmaster has brought more attention to plastic guitars in general. And while its personally not my thing, its only a net positive that new guitar controllers are being made in 2024 so everyone can play! Also the point about using a DIY kit vs buying a premade custom is spot on. The kits are meant to be an affordable way to revive a guitar that otherwise would be completely useless or too broken to use. You make up for the rest of the cost by taking your own time to mod the guitar yourself. Pre-modded guitars will always be better since the modder has experience and complete control over every little detail about the controller, and gives each controller a lot of time and care. Someone with a kit could also do the same, but again you'd have to pay for it with your own time vs paying the modder for theirs. That said, I feel like the amount of options that are currently out there and available for interested people to choose from are far better than they ever have been before, and the way things are looking, they will only be improving!
I’ve got some beef with the PlayStation riffmaster that I haven’t seen much discussion of. When I play on ps5 I can’t tilt my controller or even press the dpad to activate overdrive if my Dualsense is connected at the same time. It seems to work if I disconnect my dualsense, but doing that with Fortnite open just causes a big fuss within the game about an input being removed. Pretty disappointed it’s still here even after the engine got updated
I haven't listened to this podcast in a few weeks, but I'm glad I caught up starting with this episode. Hearing you guys talking about that private show from Metallica, and them enjoying your company as much as you did for them (how you mentioned their kids are big fans of the game), that was really heartwarming. I hear people say they hate Lars because they think he's a bad drummer, or they hate the whole Napster saga, but it sounds like Lars the person is a genuine guy deep down.
I know you guys are newer to the fortnite community but that uefn concert was handled extremely badly and I don't think it should be gassed up we had other concerts made in normal fortnite creative that are way better and more consistent
@CalculousPower0 the framerate was dying the props lagged while moving the map took forever to load once it clicked ready and the HUD being there the whole time was so annoying and the contrails were not disabled like in other creative concerts

i sure hope they tour soon
40:00 so me saving my 5 ps3 guitars *was* a good idea. The dongles got lost. Still moddable?
Yup!! I modded my ps3 les Paul and it works like a charm with a retrocultmods solderless kit! Would definitely recommend!
As long as they have the start and select and the whammy bar works.
@@SpidrexZ Hell yea. I told my gf they weren't a waste of space. Now if we can get local split screen
Dongleless Guitar Hero guitars are the BEST candidates to mod!

Jake's life is finally complete now that he pissed on Sussman's shoe 😂😂😂
Damn Chad's older than me
YEAHHHHH BABYYYYYYYYY

$METAL
one thing I cant stand is the piano black/gloss black color of the riffmaster it looks nice until you take it out of the package
we need a white riffmaster, that'd be sick
Timestampsssss :/

How was it handled badly? Just because it was short and sweet doesn't mean it was bad?

@@Cd62004u play on switch?
@@Cd62004I ran the concert twice, once on a ps5 and once on my pc and it ran perfectly fine. Sounds like hardware issue to me.
