I, too, started an analogue chapter during the month of February. Committing to a paper journal adorned with inspirational art and quotes has kept my ADHD-addled Ph.D. brain sustained in a way the screen cannot. As always, thank you for sharing your vulnerability, realness, music, and your gorgeous dog. The crackle of an LP soothes my soul daily, and a bop around the music does wonders for the soul.
Hi Susan 😊😊 isn’t a paper journal just magic? I get the ADHD thing. I’m not sure screens work best for my brain - I will always use them of course for various things: PhD writing, emails, knowledge seeking, etc, but I’m learning that analog soothes my hyperactive side in a way that digital doesn’t. So, here’s to a healthy balance of both! ❤

I am so sorry you're going through it. Divorce is sadly a long, exhausting process, on top of all the other pressures and commitments you have. Hopefully your good days are outnumbering your bad. This video felt like we got to zoom through your zettlekasten box - and the joyous singing and dancing moments were fabulous sprinkles along the way. To crudely paraphrase Karan Barad's work, things don't exist as fixed entities but in their relationships with other things/being/matter. It makes sense that you're "different" in different spaces and with different people. Fragmentation is one way to think of it, but an active agent that's relecting/learning and influencing the people and places around them feels a bit more positive to me.❤xx
