i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost my account password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
I consider myself very fortunate to be a guitarist who grew up thru the 80’s and was able to watch all these great musicians show up on the rock scene Vito Warren demartini Lynch Nuno were some of the best of the era Yes, 80’s were a special time / still have ada mp-1 preamp like Vito used / great post !!
30 years later and we're still waiting for Vito to come on stage!! I have heard the injury has healed but what the record producers did to him and Tramp could have been an episode of "American Greed' so he gave up on the music. I also have heard he used to practice 12-16 hours a day he was relentless he became Eddie Van Halen and surpassed in my view. He also had a great blues vibe in addition to his rock ADA sound. Vito wasn't one of the best guitarist of the 80's in my opinion he was the best to come out of the 80's- the hair metal era.
Vito Bratta, my second favorite player of all time, just behind Jake E Lee for me. Vito was Van Halen-ish, but really, his playing was so much brighter and cheerful. Such a wonderful musician. And he made the solos to fit the songs perfectly.
Great comment... Randy Who?... Zack Who?... Jake E Lee's performance on Bark at the Moon is legendary. Both Jake and Vito had roots in classical music from Mozart, Bach, Beethoven. I would rate Bratta as #1 with Gary Moore, Randy Bachmann, Malcolm Young, Noel Gallagher filling out my top 5. Slash, EVH, Ronnie VanZant, Chuck Berry, Jake E Lee are all honorable mentions.
I have to agree with Zack the wait solo is my all time favorite solo next to hungry and Vito a really cool guy he was throwing picks out yo crowd I got his attention he told he didn’t have any more but he went and got me one ..that was coolest night ever
Vito, I have and always hold you in high regard. Doesn't matter if we don't see it hear from you. I always gotta have my Vito Bratta fix. I was in awe, when I saw him play live when they opened up for Stryper back in the day. I was nine years old. I think fall 1988? I went to the concert only to see White Lion. But Stryper was a surprise? I didn't know they were a heavy band the guitar riff are almost heavy and fast like thrash metal.
When I was a kid, I discovered Van Halen. Eddie was the only guitarist I cared to listen to. Never cared for Hendrix, Clapton or Page. To me, nobody was as good as Eddie. I didn't even get into Randy Rhoads until after he died. I liked other guys like Brad Gillis & Jeff Watson (Night Ranger), Ratt, Dokken, Poison, Malmsteen (got bored with him after his 3rd album. It all sounded the same), Satriani, Vai......but again, to me, Eddie was the king. Until I heard White Lion. Vito's guitar playing stood out. The guitar solos are phenomenal. His melodic playing is awesome. He gets labeled a VH clone because he used tapping. But what 80s guitarist didn't? The reason people single out Vito for tapping is because he did it best. Sure, Eddie is awesome. But Vito is just better with it. His solos are more intricate. A lot of guys fabricate their guitar solos. Vito designs his. He's an architect on guitar. (Guitarchitect?) There are a ton of videos on UA-cam of people playing Van Halen on their guitar and they play it note for note. You can count the number of players doing Vito's music (note for note) on one hand, and still have some fingers left over. I wrote in to Dee Snider's "House of Hair" radio show asking whatever happened to Vito Bratta. His answer: "True story! Vito was so disgusted with the direction rock music was going (Dee was talking about Grunge) that he put down his guitar and vowed never to play again.". I had also heard that the band was screwed out of money by the record companies. This could be why Vito doesn't want to get back into the industry. It really is a shame that he's wasting that talent. Maybe it's just me, but I don't really buy the hand injury excuse. I've heard about guys who have had those injuries, but they loved playing so much, that they learned to play left handed guitar. Michael Angelo Batio said he has a student that did that. Maybe Vito feels that since he hasn't played in so long, that he's lost his touch and will be embarrassed to play because he can't deliver the stellar playing he's known for, and fans will not accept him as being as good as he once was. Or maybe EVH felt intimidated by Vito's playing and paid him $50 million to never play again. lol But Vito doesn't need to form a band and get back in a studio and make records. Sure it would be great if he did. It would be awesome to see him on stage with Satriani and Vai for a G3 concert. But if he just uploaded a 5 minute video once a month of him just noodling on guitar in his house, that would be more than enough to make his existing, and future fans happy. When you think about it, it really sucks that Jason Becker doesn't play because he can't move a muscle in his body. And Vito Bratta doesn't play because he just doesn't want to. :-(
Vito was awesome ! Eddie was unmatched & the king of strings 🎸💯 . EVH did it all ,Rhythm, Songwriting, piano/ keyboard, bass, drums basically out of this world. Vito's IMO is the closest thing on the guitar. Zack did a interview & said saint Edward was his favorite. RIP to a legend ,Virtuoso invented pop, swing & boogie. listen to Vh I'm the one & Spanish fly unreal he set it off. If the great less Paul said the same & that was something to be said. I wish for Vito's return & maybe due something for a V.h tribute. Don't get me twisted even though Vito's tried to be a carbon copy of Eddie & he was damn good . but no dice not even close & Vito would say the same & Vito's in my top 10 greatest. let's face it we lost EVH that pioneered the way guitar was played & made still today
Vitto had the most melodic and tasteful solos I've ever heard. Just jaw dropping beautiful, and technically tight as hell. What a genius. Such an understanding of peicing together melodies and notes that melt together gorgeously...what an artist. Surprisingly, alot of geniuses sometime shy away from the spotlight...he deserves this recognition. The solo of "wait" is pure genius... The lady of the valley is phenomenal. Little fighter is awesome too. But I've never heard a more beautiful song than "When the children cry." Great list, thank you.
He didn’t use a DSL100, that amp wasn’t introduced until well after his career. The studio rig was an ADA MP1 into a McIntosh Tube hifi amp into a 412.
the appearance of ritchie blackmore and vito bratta have the same costumes of black and yellow guitars and wear classic hats, even though they both play different guitars
I feel for him, as far as his wrist injury. While I'm not even in the same universe with Vito, I can't play anymore since falling at work and destroying my left wrist to the point it had to be fused. Still blows my mind he played that ugly friggin Steinberger lol
Tramp's vocal never been appealing to me. personally I think White Lion could have gone bigger if they had replaced Tramp with a better singer. and Wait solo? ..... PERFECT!
It's not a good comparison. Vito is more of shredder like Eddie van halen, John sykes, paul gilbert... Slash is a different kind of player. Both are brilliant at what they do.
ever osfp Damn straight! There’s some great live Derek Frigo stuff on UA-cam. Those 2 guys were so much better than most other guys who got more recognition or MTV airplay back then. Derek had phrasing, he could make the guitar sing- like hang on a single note or two.....really memorable solos. Vito’s solos are almost mini songs within a song. I never find myself thinking those guys overdid the fretboard antics or whammy bar fluff like lots of their peers did back then. I was lucky enough to see Vito live at an arena show, also Frigo live a bunch of times, in a small venue.
Too bad he’s not making music. Even with a hand injury, if he’s half as good as he was back then, he’s still twice as good as anyone today. Pull your guitar out and start wailing again. You’ll be 60 next year. Times a wasting! You don’t need to play Eddie Van Halen licks. Your song writing and melodic style will carry you anywhere you want to go. Or better yet, do some heavy shit! 🤘🏻
how come vito bratta has very few visualizations that not fair ,,,.....because this guy is very talente, .... then you put on a daddy yanky video and this guy is put up gang signs as part of his performance dance and people love it ,.....instead of moving foward in musical talent they Are going backwards and yet millions love it , well i certainly dont want my child to listen to reggeton because he will eventually start dressing up like them ...well its a gang atire that they use , i would rather have my kid dress like a rock n roll reble atleast you are far from the gang mentallity dressing, and the music has a negative message anyway , and rock and roll does not ....there are to manty love song , beautiful lyrics that i cant even count...so once again im vetry dissapointed that people dont know what real talent is...or could the little visulizations be because hes not white.....
Really? Vitto is overrated? I saw some of your content and what I can say is if you keep practicing, you may get good guitar. I hope you heal. Love and Light man.

Same here too bro!! Love the 80s rock!!
Yessir, Lynch, Nuno, Vito, DeMartini my top 4.
How about Crosby?
@@michaelsteven1090
He was very good but people here are referring to phenomenal players.
Players that are in the top 1% of at least the genre.
What a talent we won't get to hear live anymore.
it is a damn shame. Thanks Mitch!
Thanks for giving this unsung hero some overdue recognition.
It was my pleasure, absolutely!! Thank You Paul!!
@@SandraPokorneyCmonDude You have great taste in guitarists. Looking forward to the next Guitar Story.

Definitely Hungry for me. Besides the solo, the opening riff is so badass.
