In D2R, the paladin has always had its strengths. Smiters, VTs (Vindicators), and FOH are great sometimes, but what if we were a Hammerdin too? Oh yeah, and a Zealot. Diablo 2 Resurrected is certainly an enigma in and of itself, but PvP will never be the same if everyone builds the Murderdin in this guide.

Playing D4 just makes me want to go back to D2R. Sorting entire stash of crap and not understanding completely what's better stats and gear compared to D2R is super annoying.

there are no better rings to PVP all?
Could consider storm shield in some setups for max/block /dr (hella good) solid smite damage. Saves circlet. (obv no leech for pets)

Correct. But they don't actually add much to the charge/melee attacks. The mechanics are MOST broken on the bow.

Hey has anyone ever had 2 act 1 mercenaries show up in the cow level? Maybe this happens randomly but first I ever saw of that and I've been playing d2 for awhile.

so its just a vanquisher with poison charms and a bow,, which is arguably worse? I also thought poison charms + oak were BM... overall I love the build though it has a great matchup against anything except a fire sorc or barb. I used to play the same build with a bowa zon in 2s and just clap entire lobbies

The rest should go to fanaticism which gives you more smite damage than holy shield
Wrong: 34 lvl Concentration gives +555% ed to Smite and high lvl Holy Shield gives high flat damage to Smite. With rest in Fanaticism you'll get almost the same % ed to Smite and much less +flat damage. You can compare both in maxroll planner.
Poison + open wounds dont work together.
How much damage does open wounds deal in PvP? 1 proc does?
I depends on your level! But about 140 damage per second for 8 seconds in HLD.

If there's EVER BM duels, I go with this. However, the Balrog is also fun for those.

I just cant get behind loading up on 451s and hoping to land a guided arrow. Thats a glaring example of how desperately d2 needs some pvp love. At the same time....a piece of me likes it since theres no other options.

Pure end game chargers is always my favorite pvp build dog shit accuracy but its so satisfying when that cap damage one hitter quitter depletes a life bar on the 765th attack after 764 misses 😂

Back in 1.09 I rocked a hybrid Zon with plenty of points in evasion, and swapped between jab, tfury, guided, and multi depending on what I was up against. Zero bugged/hacked items. I only recall losing once in a 1v1 (to a sorc with bugged gear), and usually won my 1v7s even against players with bugged gear.
The hybrid builds pack a ton of PvP power if you play them right, although I readily admit to no longer pvping in D2. I lost interest in it during the Enigma and Merc Helm Glitch patches (where you take off and put back on Dream hat from your merc and the aura stacks every time, leading to one-hit aura kills on everything in a 10 mile radius, which turned PvP into an absolute disaster for a while).
That's because Zon's in 1.09 were fuckin massive -- and don't tell me you weren't using the maphack to see people off screen cause it might as well have come packaged in the game back then.
Source: I had a 32 (33? whichever level Kaku is) Zon that regularly went into hell duels and did exactly the same thing to 90s chars. Some of most fun PvP there ever was or will be to participate in.
Too bad the hardcore pvp is a bit... too hardcore! Ba Dum Tsss!!! (we need a HC brawl area like in D3).
Only a Master paladin can use all those skills in a duel, i'm still learning the telestopm 😅

The p v p in D2 is spaming teleport and fire bolt, cero strategy, you must try Street fighter, Starcraft 2, LoL, etc, a real pvp´s.
