What a great salesperson! He is engaging, informative, appropriately enthusiastic about each product, and actually invites the viewer to want to try every guitar he features. You're hired! Start Monday!!

I bought a br40 about 25 years ago, after trying everything in the shop. Just a great sounding guitar. My daughter has nicked it from me. I get to see it when the strings need changing....

I've got a 2003 br-180 and I've got a 1969 martin d-28 and a 1970 d-28 and my blue ridge blows them both out of the water. Blue ridge guitars are way under rated

Maury is a great dealer. I bought a Martin off him and a friend from North Carolina bought two Martin’s off him and he is honest and takes care of his customers.
He is the only person I would ever buy a good guitar online from.

Thank you Maury for showing us the latest Blueridge line of guitars. So many of our bluegrass players here in the NW play them and love them. That parlor model sure looks appealing to me Maury!

The BR-160A is prolly the best copy of a pre-war Martin D-28 you can find.

I have only been attempting to learn guitar for a couple of years, so keep that in mind when reading what I write. Also, I have never purchased from Maury's and I do not know anything about that dealer (I am sure they are reputable). IF you decide to purchase a Blueridge Dreadnought, be careful to inspect it for flaws IF you are not sure the dealer is fully reputable. I have a BR-160A I bought from a very reputable dealer, and it has been a great instrument (it was built in 2020). Oh, I recommend the BR-160A over the BR-160 he shows in the video. The standard BR-160 has a nut width of 1 11/16th inches. The BR-160A has a more traditional nut width of 1 3/4 inches, plus it has an Adirondack top verses Sitka on the standard BR-160. The BR-160A costs more than the BR-160, but it is worth the additional cost. Plus, the headstock is more elegantly plain with just "Blueridge" on it without all the other stuff. The BR-160 (especially the BR-160A) is an attempt to replicate vintage Martin D-28s of the 30s. Blueridge also makes a model BR-140 that has a Sitka top and Mahogany backs and sides. It is an attempt to replicate a vintage Martin D-18s of the 30s. For awhile, Blueridge also made a BR-140A that (like the BR-160A) had an Adirondack top and 1 3/4 inch nut, and the plain headstock. I wanted one of these, that matched my BR-160A, so I found one "new" made in 2019 at a store in Pennsylvania and naively assumed they were fully reputable. I ordered it for a "fair" price, and it was a beautiful looking instrument when I received it. However, there was something off about the sound of the instrument, even to my newbie ears. It turns out the dealer sold me a new instrument with a lifting bridge. (A reputable dealer would thoroughly inspect any instrument they sold for defects and NOT pass it along to a customer). By the time I realized what was wrong, it was too late to return the instrument. Plus, I really wanted this guitar, but I wanted it right. Trying to get a lifting bridge repaired on warranty is a nightmare. So, I tried taking it to a certified luthier to remove and reglue the bridge, but it was going to cost (at the minimum) $500 for a $1000 instrument. So, I have been forced to attempt this on my own guided by some nonprofessional luthier friends. I still do not know yet if the repairs will work and not give way again. When I removed the bridge I discovered that the factory had done a poor job of gluing the bridge to the top; they did not fully clear the area on the top of finish for one thing. MY POINT IS be careful buying a Blueridge instruments. Apparently, lifting bridges have been a problem in the past. It still occurs, and only a good and reputable dealer will inspect the instrument before they sell it to a customer. IF you are dealing with a good/reputable dealer, then you do not need to worry. Those instruments without major flaws (like a lifting bridge) are excellent instruments for the price!

As with any instrument- buying from a trusted dealer is paramount.

If they went to a lacquer finish it would take these to another level sonically.

That parlor is nice. How a acoustic should look. First blue ridge I've really liked looks wise. Very nice. I like the look of that 000 too. Not as busy as the others at the top. I think if you guys changed the headstock inlay, you'd sell a TON MORE. I'm serious. It turns people off. Maybe a simple name in script, that's all

I know. I have a BR163 and love the guitar but that pickguard bothers me. I'm gonna paint it black or something. Maybe paint a cowboy on it like Ramblin Jack's guitar.
