- Long video, with some poor audio, somewhat boring, but educational none the less.
I've had these in pots for many years, I got them as large trees approx 10 gal, maybe 10y ago. I believe they're close to 15-20yr old. They have fruited in the pots, but I can't put them in a bigger pot, so in the ground they go. I will have to protect them with a cold frame for the winter. Kill temp around 25F. Only need one tree to fruit, although some trees will only produce male flowers for a few years, then they will finally fruit.
thanks for watching.

A sawzall with a pruning blade is a great tool for cut thick roots.
Liked the video hope you stay safe with hurricane idalia coming your way.
Amigo no vaso começa a produzir com quanto anos tempo?
Nice work y'all. Wondering if you considered root pruning those circling roots visible in both trees, they have a tendency to girdle & kill the tree as it grows. Also compromises tree stability. Unknown if this species or Garcinias in general can withstand heavy root pruning. Love your videos
Bro you need the stheel hole borer your back will love you. pardon my bad English.
I wasn't able to win any of the auctions this year but hopefully I'll get one next time. The superior lemon drop we did manage to win though just pushed out a flower bud the other day.
@stelag9215 Did you get the superior lemondrop this year or have you had it for a while? I bought one from Adam this year.
@@coatichingon7650 yes we got it this year. I think we picked it up the first week of June
@@stelag9215Thanks for the info. Good to know that I could possibly get flowers on mine too.
Garcinia grove lookin great, yearone is down for the cause
You need to get yourself a better ditch digger mang.
So Lucs will withstand the cold spells you get when it's that size? I have seedling Lucs here in 10B California and wonder if I should bring them in for winter
I have 2, 4-5' trees in my yard here in Florida, zone 9b and they went through last winter's cold spell just fine w/a frost cloth thrown over them...and my yard was down to 24-25 F. Didn't even have any leaf burn. They are in a lower part of my yard with some overhead cover from a large S. Magnolia and a live oak.
if i was there i would of made your friend put boots on , its all fun and games until someone chops their foot in half ...
