Hi there my name is danny and I have a 1984 Honda CR 500r I have been working on I got it running for a customer then it was sold to a mechanic friend of mine he rode it once or twice and he has a lot going on because he is a mechanic so didn't have time to spend with the bike and let it sit and I got it back now and trying to figure out the issues anything you could suggest looking into so I can get it running again be much appreciated thanks. P.s. it is up sale for right now but if I can get it going I would like to ride it for a bit and then sale.
Yes, l thought there wasn't much oil on first start, but then you do see some later. Of course thats probably not its first start and he should have examined the known kickstart mechanism issue. The ratchet etc. must take a lot of hammer over the years. Wasn't a compression release button fitted to that head?
