Great video. Jimmy's tone is the Holy Grail and its great to get an insight into the technical side. Now I just need the 10,000 hours of practice to go with it!
Cool! Thanks for this. What kind of speakers is he running these days? I waited in line at the ATL airport with Jimmy once and we talked for 30 min about JBL speakers and how to get the Dickey Betts tone. Jimmy is one of the kindest, most humble people you’ll ever meet.
The Bassman's preamp is tweaked though, just a smidge, isn't it? Bassman heads were typically used for clean bass signals. I had a 1966 piggy back that had RCA 12AX7's and a pair of 6l6GC. Great clean amp. If its stock then that HK pedal is acting as a Jose style tube gain stage I'm guessing. Cause that would be a gain stage before V1. Scott (Henderson) and Jimmy are my favorite players for writing in a jazz vernacular but sounding totally rock and blues at the same time.
He explains towards the end of the video, it's used to adjust the voltage coming from the wall outlet so that it's the right voltage for the amps and doesn't fry the tubes in the amp!

Love the "thank God for Jimmy Herring" sticker on the road cases. Lolol
I'm a big fan of that Col. Bruce sticker on the smaller road case :)
Love this!!! Thanks for sharing!✌️❤️
Thanks for watching!
Good vid's. Would like to see a video on micing instruments (types of mic's, techniques, etc.), and maybe some comments on mixing.
Great suggestion! Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this so much!

Why the foam under the head instead of the regular amp feet, and what picks is jimmy using, red bear? Thanks!
What kind of cords does he use for the wet side? Patch cords, trs, or just standard guitar cords throughout? Thank you.
Please pull out mikeys rigg for show and tell
