Great stream Alex! I'm super excited for SNL 1998!
Sad that I missed the premiere, but man. Sunday Night Lights has so far been one of the BEST NR2003 Series ever made! Hard to believe that you have evolved in 4 years and your content keeps getting better and better. This series has been breathtaking with rising stars, new places, and new faces. Keep doing what your Alex, you are becoming one of the best Nascar UA-camrs and I can’t wait for SNL: 1998 this Summer.
*keep doing what your doing
Thank you so much! It means a ton and I appreciate it! We've come a long way and there's much more to come!
POSSIBLE SPOILERS
So I was reading some NASCAR what ifs recently and found something interesting that could relate to the 50 car. In the late 90's, there were a few different manufactures and car models that were being considered but never made the track. These included the Lincoln Mark VIII, Mercury Cougar and Oldsmobile Cutlass. Since we can't see any real indicators as to what model the 50 is and unused car models have shown up in SNL (see Jody Ridley driving a Lincoln in the 1987 all star race), there's a chance it might be one of these cars.
or it's just Grayspeed trying to be cinematic, idk
nice.
2:11:10 Tammy Jo Kirk’s new 1998 Twix ford and we also see the 50 Snyder’s pretzel and jelly belly car plus the 1,11 and 22 from 1998 at the end of the 1997 review makes 5 cars for 1998 in cup already done.
speaking of the #50 car, who was it as the driver, btw?
@@Boggs1993 it will be revealed when 1998 comes out in the US summer and the Australian Winter.
@@brendanhartzer5712 SNL has Aussie viewers!? Cool!
@@PaperBanjo64 I was happy when Geoff Brabham won the Stock GT series and some of his performances in the Busch series road courses.
@brendanhartzer5712 and of course the Calder Park exhibitions...Jim Richards made Australian fans proud as well.
I missed the premiere due to me sleeping. But I am so hyped for Racing Infinity and SNL on my birth year!
1:07:11.
A McDonald's-sponsored stock car with an average finishing position of 17.76. I _dare_ you to find anything that's more American.
I recently started to follow your series, and wow! You really do a lot of world building, and have a whole lot to keep up with! Great to see this format and how nice it is to follow, so keep up the great work!
P.S. How do you keep up with everything? A spreadsheet? I've been trying to build up a fully custom world of mine and would love to know how you do it
I have a suggestion for Supersportsman:
Capital City Speedway in Ottawa, Ontario and Cayuga 2000 (later Jukasa) in Hamilton, Ontario.
Autodrome Chaudiere in Quebec would be another good one to add.
maybe the Nascar Super Sportsmen series will be racing in Mexican ovals. 😉
@@Boggs1993 And Canada as well. 🍁
indeed.
And that proves that NASCAR is not a joke in real life. This sport is far more then a original sport. They should have a 10 race 16 playoff (with only the top 16 making the top 16) and a three race championship. Whoever gets the most points is the champion.
Jeff Gordon should be a NASCAR Cup Series Champion, just like in real life
I certainly hope he wins one soon.
Nice look back on the past. That #50 Snyders car already has me excited for SNL 1998. 😉
but who is the driver of the #50?
@@Boggs1993 I don't know. I can't even tell what series it is either. If I had to guess, it probably might be Jimmie Johnson's SuperSportsman car. But only time will tell. We've got until mid to late summer to speculate on what it is.
Speaking of Jimmie Johnson. Since Jeff Gordon is with Bill Davis Racing, which Winston cup team would Jimmie Johnson should sign with before his 2002 ROTY Winston cup series season?
@@Boggs1993 Perhaps Jimmie drives a 2nd Bill Davis car. The No. 93 Excedrin Ford
this means that Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson will STILL be teammates (duh).
NOW I AM BECOME PATTY
THE DESTROYER OF WORLDS
As a Baton Rouge native… I like this!
I wish custom diecasts from the SNL universe existed, especially better if they were built on old beat up Racing Champions cars that had been heavily played with.
That would be pretty neat!
I'm a Patty girl, in a racing world, high speed traffic, it's fantastic!
Come on Patty, let's go Patty!
@@GraySpeedProductions ah ah ah yeah!
Now I am become Patty, destroyer of glass ceilings.
@@PaperBanjo64 Imagine if Mattel made a Barbie doll that was literally Patty.
@danielfoster3642 they totally would've done that, they in our real timeline had NASCAR Barbies dressed as a crew member of various drivers Hot Wheels had the rights to.
I'd love to see Elton and Patty start a team together! That'd be fun to see Racing's Power Couple!
That would be cool to see.
this means that Patty Moise and Elton Sawyer would be co-owners in Nascar, once Patty Mosie's retirement tour in the cup series for 2007 ends. 😇
Elton runs NASCAR
1:06:01 Hey, you forgot the first Hawkeye since '63
Music of 1993? I love this series!!
What If Tony Stewart went to Headrick Motorsports?
Was Joe Nemechek's 1993 Daytona 500 his first start too?
as a ROTY driver, yes.
Had to go back and check. It appears you would be correct on that!
@@GraySpeedProductions wow! And Shawna the next year!
3 years later, Kelley Earnhardt did so in her ROTY season in 1997 (despite finished below top 15 in points with a total of 2 cup series wins).
this means Kerry Earnhardt may attempt to make his Winston cup debut at DEI early for 1998 season (with the total of 5-7 races) and set to go full-time and run ROTY for the 1999 season). however, as Kerry Earnhardt's ROTY season kicks off in 1999, Dale Earnhardt Jr. will ALSO make his Winston cup debut early at DEI in the same year and will still go full-time and run ROTY for 2000, with the retirement tour of fellow DEI driver Darrell Waltrip (who leaves Roush Racing after 1998 and signs with DEI full-time in 1999).
But what happens to the #6 Valvoline Ford for 1999, if D.W. leaves Rosch Racing for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated? Maybe Tammy Jo Kirk or someone else replaces him as the full-time driver.
@@Boggs1993 I'm not trying to complain or anything, but what is it with your Kerry Earnhardt hype? Don't get me wrong, we want him to be a good driver, too, so that he can make it to Cup for DEI, but it seems like you're always pushing for DEI to give Kerry a Cup ride for 1998 and 99, basically rushing him up to Cup without giving Kerry a shot to truely prove himself. You have basically said the same thing SIX times about Kerry Earnhardt. Has he really done much in the SuperSportsman Series to warrant an immediate ride in Cup? No. But a Busch Series ride? Absolutely. Give Kerry some time in the Busch Series, and by the early 2000s, you'll more than likely see him in a Cup ride for DEI. Dale Jr. has proven himself to at least be considered to be ready for Cup in 1999, not Kerry. But Kerry will be in Cup, no one's disagreeing with you on that. It's just a question of WHEN he'll bee ready to go to Cup.
