A big middle finger to Dynasty and Claudia fans. She deserved a funeral and a proper goodbye. The writing really went down hill after the wedding massacre. They had a habit of characters dying or leaving and never being mentioned again. Mark, Amanda, Dominique, Jackie and Caress are some other good examples.
And Claudia was never ever mentioned again, not even when Matthew returned. He just referred to Claudia as “his wife” - no name at all and Steven didn’t even mention her ever again, either.
Claudia was such a great character, too bad she suffered at the hands of bad Writing and idiotic network decisions. +Melanie Biggins, Claudia wasn´t pregnant but her portrayer, Pamela Bellwood was.
What I meant to say was that her pregantsy (Pamela 's pregantsy) could been written into the series just like they did with Fallon when Pamela Sue Martin got pregnant in the real life.
Claudia and Adam hadn’t been together that long for it to be likely that she would have discussed funeral arrangements with her. She was one of the best written characters and they cut short her departure with this scene. In all likelihood it would have been more realistic and interesting to show Steven or even Blake mourning her loss not some unconvincingly grieving Adam

From what I remember back in 1986 I heard that the show runners told Pamela Bellwood not to get pregnant, and when she did they got mad at her, and then fired her.im not sure how much of that is true, but that’s what I heard, back in the day. Then with “No funeral” BS, I think it was just the show telling the audience that Claudia was dead, and that’s it. Period. Now they can concentrate on storylines they were more interested in telling. Such a shame too, as I really liked Claudia, from the very beginning. I was really bummed that they treated the actress and her character so poorly.
i totally agree with you . she should have left town with a back from the dead lindsay ( her daughter ) or with a new love interest ( or both ) . We wanted to see Claudia conquer mental illness and leave town filled with hope , positivity and promise .

I was always in hopes that Claudia would come back, that the body Adam saw was misidentified, and she would come back. It would’ve been perfect if she would’ve come back at the same time as Matthew!

I always really liked Claudia, and she deserved a proper last storyline and a proper send off, and a proper goodbye. Even Luke’s death and funeral was longer than what Claudia got. I remember back in the day reading that the show runners were mad at Pamela for getting pregnant, so they fired her, and killed off Claudia. I don’t know how much of that, if any,,, is true, but the only thing I have ever been able to find was an interview where Pamela said she didn’t want Claudia to go out in such a bad way.
