- In this scene from Season 7, Blake and Alexis adopt Adam to put the issue of his paternity to rest once and for all. Featured in the clip are Gordon Thomson, John Forsythe, Joan Collins, Linda Evans, and Jack Coleman.
This identity crisis storyline was really the only major storyline that Adam got to have on the entire series and Gordon Thomson crushed it. Should have won some kind of award for it.
They don't get any sweeter or prettier than Linda Evan's character!
No way. What about when he tired to kill Jeff with poison paint?
That pink bow dress. Quel Beast!
One of the only happy moments of this show.
And then Adam finds out he really is a Carrington but doesn't bother to tell that to Blake or Alexis.
I believe Alexis knew?
He did?
He did in the Reunion episode
Very touching scene!!! He didn't deserve it with all the crap he pulled!!! He was greedy and manipulative!!! He did play this role to the hilt though!!!
Adam of course beaks his promise in season 9
It didn't take him long, did it?
Well, he lost his son at the end of Season 8 and his wife left him in the Season 9 premiere. It's understandable.
Of course, he had definitely Alexis ' half bad DNA 🧬😋
Alexis look like a bridesmaid:-)
I agree. Not the best wardrobe choice for the mother of the bride. And those earrings...
LOL, it´s Amazing. Thanks for putting these up, I love the show.
You're welcome! So do I.
Lol. I actually wore a bridesmaid dress like hers in the late 80's to early 90's. It was the only bridesmaid dress I liked to this day. As for Alexis wearing this dress as her mother of the groom's dress, I think this was intentional by the wardrobe department. Joan Collins upstaged every woman in the room back in the day including Linda Evans. I believe Alexis's bridesmaid dress was an attempt to give Krystle the spotlight. It failed.
@@madamhummingbird The car tyre hanging in Krystle's jacket hem didn't help.
Quite good video, awesome!
Wow, Alexis and Blake being civil with each other. What kind of liquor did he give her I want some!
I remember the over the top sleeves in the 80s. My 90s wedding dress had big puffy sleeves.
BUT I DON'T WANNA BE A PIRATE!
Väldigt bra scen tycker jag också väldigt vacker också ♥️♥️👊👊👍👍🎂🎂🍰🍰
One of my favourite shows ever but it was jumping multiple sharks like sea world by this point 😂
Lucky Adam!!
Wasn't this ultimately pointless since it then turns out that he IS Adam Carrington after all?
They went back and forth so much, it's hard to say for sure, although I do think at last count he was really a Carrington.
I was wondering the same thing too! lol
@@LoveusSlothus they did the same thing with Monica and Miles on The Colby's. Sable said In season 9 of Dynasty that a rapist fathered them but in The Reunion it's clearly stated Jeff and Miles are brothers meaning a blood test must have been done after Dynasty season 9 that proved Jason was the father after all
Yes, that fellow prisoner of Neal Mac Vain just told him a pack of lies. This was the REAL Adam Carrington. I wondered why they didn't take a blood test just like Blake and Fallon did in a previous episode in stead of going back and fro all that much as they did. I didn't feel much sorry for Adam but this was an exeption....
It was never established SCIENTIFICALLY that Adam was a Carrington. It was still possible that he could not have been. He didn't take a blood or DNA Test. The original plans called for the character to be an imposter.
They did in the reboot, Alexis hired a guy to pretend to be Adam for a short while, Alexis faked a DNA test, the real Adam eventually shows up and he also took a DNA test and confirmed he’s Adam and he found out about the fake DNA test and went after Alexis, he punished her for hurting Blake by burning her face and eventually had plastic surgeons give her a new face that looks like Fallon
@@andreyleary4736 The reboot is NOT part of the REAL Dynasty universe.
@@30dizzy34 I know, I’m just saying the reboot did something the original didn’t
The mother or grandmother also had the baby’s Sterling Silver baby rattle .
They could have checked footprints or fingerprints on the birth certificate.
@@mjj1434 It was mentioned in the episode where Adam first meets Blake that the hospital where Adam was born had a fire and the baby footprint records were destroyed in that fire.
Trivia: earlier in this episode the attorney jointly engaged by Blake and Alexis regarding legally adopting Adam was played by Russell Johnson (The Professor on "Gilligan's Island" who also guested on "Dallas").
One Of The Few Times Krystle And Alexis Got Along,Well Everyone Was There For Adam Being Officially Adopted By Blake And Alexis And For His Wedding To Dana. Krystle,The Stepmother Of The Groom Is Dressed Better Than Alexis,The Actual Mother Of The Groom,That Pink Bow Dress Looks Like A Bridesmaid's REJECT!!! 😏😏😏😏😏😏🙄🙄🙄😑😑😑
I'm sorry, how to do adopt an ADULT?
Well first, they must wear flats to appear small in height👲
Having enough money as a Carrington, perhaps?
In Colorado, adult adoption costs $167 per adult being adopted as well as $20.75 for each decree of adoption to be certified. If the person filing the paperwork cannot afford the adult adoption costs, he or she can complete paperwork with the court to request the cost to be waived.
These were the days really before extensive DNA testing...
Nice scene. It stands out in the overall dreadful second half of Season 7 (which is the Show's lowest point in my opinion).
It was the entire Season 8 for me, but, yes, parts of Season 7 were bad, too.
ForeverCarrington I liked season 8 just because it had a coherent plot and seemed thought out after what seemed like two separate seasons in one for season 7. The first half was ok, the second half did not feel like Dynasty and was a snoozer. That's saying something for a show like Dynasty! And let's not mention Karen Cellini lol! We had to deal with a doppelgänger Krystle in season 6, a recast Steven, and a recast Fallon. A bland American Amanda was too much to handle!
I preferred much more Krystina's story than that of doppelganger Krystle.
Me, too.
I agree with cliff9685. Season 7 seemed like two different seasons; I actually preferred the first half to be honest. The second half was indeed a complete snoozer. Season 8 was not great either, but at least there seemed to be a coherent and thought out plot which ran throughout the season...
I don't believe that Alexis decided to wear that dress! Pink cupcake doesn't seem to be her style. She doesn't look powerfull at all dressed like a cotton candy... Maybe that was all the excitement of the adoption that made her not think clearly when picking the dress. Speaking about adoption - can you adopt an adult?
Yes, in most states in the US and around the world, you can adopt an adult for as long as the one who is adopting is at least 16 years older than the adoptee.
Alexis's dress and earings are hideous. What was nolan Miller thinking.
I notice they fixed the actor's teeth, since he first arrived on the show.
Well this was a Just 13yrs before DNA testing was Available Such a Story Line today would not work unless you had 2 Men or Women who where Identical Twins and there was a Question of Paternity or Maternity of a Child.
Krystle has a flat fur tyre hanging from her waist. 😵💫
The pink dress is hideous
The actul cut ws very big back then. Liz Taylor nd Jon wore tht style aall the time. It ws Nolan Miller special
Sorry, but this was dumb. Adam had just come into their lives a couple of years before. It made no sense that he was welcomed into the family after it was found he had nothing to do with them biologically.
It was about 5 years not 2
@@donnn-ow4rj 4 years, Season 3.
He turned out to be their biological son after all.
Why this damn movie has the exact names like the new dynasty and same carrington every damn thing is the same thing kmdt i dont like this movie
Dynasty if i'm not wrong is a book. This version is the first to be adapted then continues the other show which you are refering to. Staring Liz Guillies that is modern era Dynasty. IDK if i make sense but that is that :)
Its not a movie
@@amandavictoria7903 Dynasty is not based.on a book
