In the late 80s there was a puma high top, I cannot remember the name of it. It looked like a puma gv special or california but a high version or probably a mid high. Does anyone know what it was called? The closest one I found was the puma sky, but it wasn't as high as the puma sky and it also didn't have velcros at the top bit.
@SOLESERFER It's definitely not the samsons mids because I have a pair which was released a few years ago. I actually have a picture of me wearing them, but it was taken from far away, so I can't really see any details on it, but I still remember what it looked like, it definitely looked like a gv special but like I said a mid high with no velcro around the ankle. The one I had was a white with sort of light blue puma formstrip.
Ok I read your message wrong sorry about that homie. I have a folder on a hard drive with a ton of old shoe ads on it if I run across what you’re talking about I’ll leave a message here. I’d look at Pinterest search athletic ads, puma tennis or puma ads etc. some good stuff will show up there.
Mostly because I don’t collect shoes like that I wear them - all my sneakers no matter if they are collectible or not I wear them, skate in them and bear them up, sell them to make some cash or give them to friends because I feel guilty hoarding sneakers if my friends don’t have something to wear or skate in.
I have a pair of the puma black and white suede shoes and I love them, I got the puma because Adidas did not have my size in gazelle suede. Awesome video.

Some of the earlier Sampson’s may have had Velcro around the ankle if I remember correctly but I know I’ve seen what you are talking about…

I think they are ok - the design is classic and simple but I’d personally just buy the suede or samba on sale if I had a choice.
