- November 2023 - South Padre Island, TX - A friend, @coolvideos999 shared some raw footage from his drone. I've had it for a while and decided to make an edit for fun. You don't see yourself foil that often haha! My butt looks fat!
good riding style Undule ! the wrist twist before the heel side 360 caught my attention.
🤣Thanks so much Carlos - Love watching your riding too at your magnificent spots!
Fun!
Howzit Mike! Gosh ya, it was so fun - I didn't want to come i but IIRC needed water really bad from all the salt I ate crashing. Saltwater is cool to ride in!
@@akinfar I have only rode at the Jetties once on a twin tip. It was so different from my usual flat water riding.
@@mikeg8636 No kidding - after you kind of get the lay of the land it's FUN - I was nervous at first getting thru the small beach break but the side on shore really helps to drag out thru it or even try a start on the inside. Looking forward to going back !
sick vid!
Thanks Craft H2O - Such a fun day trying to figure out how to ride ocean bumps rather than lake lumps. Thanks for the visit!
Hell to the ya Undule!
Thanks Rollins - So Fun! can't wait to go back. Maybe not a full dang wetsuit next time but I need something to cover the blubber ha!
Very cool! How much wind was there and what foil size were you using on what line length?
Aloha David! thanks for the visit - Wind was low for locals but where i come from it felt perfect - The kite could always stay in the air when I crashed so it was at least 6mph on lows and I don't think it gusted, if you could call it gusting, past 15mph for this session. Probably mostly around 10-12 consistent wind. I was riding the 7M UFO, GoFoil GT1050 (~1050cm) 14.5" FTS (fixed tail - short) and 36.5cm mast. Lines were on Boardriding Maui CCS stock 20M
It just felt perfect, this summer i've been goofing around with a hight aspect GoFoil RSX1075 and this is what I would have been riding there at SPI that day, i could easily have hung with the bumps and used bump power more easily - it GGGLLLIIIDDDEEEESSS glide is rad and easier to stay with bumps, now have to learn on to stay slower with turns on faces. Cheers David
Thanks for the information! I’m riding the UFO 11 m go foil GT 1770, and 80 cm mass. I need a smaller front wing. It is way too big. What would you recommend?
