on the flats, hardly any wind, like 5-10 - it was probably blowing 10-15 here that day. 4M Parawing - nice size for land use as the bridles are short enough that you can keep the wing off the land/dirt/ice by picking your hand up high. Fun on skates, still learning and thanks for the visit!

@@akinfar thanks for the info! I'm a heavy guy (100+ kg) but I'm mainly thinking about ice skates where the friction might be a bit less so a 4 m² parawing could be perfect then. Short lines are a must so I don't cut them with the blades if the parawing drops during a jibe or something. 😂

@@petrihirvonen totally - Parawing with skates would have been perfect yesterday too to practice dodging drifts, gliding downwind and practice repack/deploy but alas i was on regular wing haha that was fun too check out today video from yesterday conditions.

howzit @Wingmad - thanks for visit - Parawing is Maliko 4M from Boardriding Maui - wind only about 10-15mph - working on ways to get it around the corner on fast jibes. tacks are pretty fun and feel kind of normal.

Yeah, this puff was kind of freaky didn't last too long but i don't think i could have chased my wing down before it got to shore haha! - That usually dertermins if I wear one, if i can skate it down i don't - tricks are easier and handle passes behind back blazing around turns, So Fun - snow now so we're out on boards again. Hi Alan! - I'm so used to the wing so I like it better for doing stuff but the thrill of learning new stuff on the parawing has them even. I take the parawing out first then spend rest of day on wing. Been a few days since i've been out so ALL decks have been reshuffled - hoping to get out tomorrow friday dec 12

Awe thanks bradshawra - you made my day :) - that video was a little hard to watch again, that was my good buddy Jerry Sandell who was 70 and still ripping some pretty good turns (he was testing out my super wide board that day - Donek Ryan Knapton model) - Less then a year later he suffered quickly thru a cancer and left us all here behind. Where ever we go in this next life i hope there are snowboards and good friends like him to share stoke and aloha spirit with - RIDE ON BRADAH 🏝

Howzit Raghu :) was fun. Starting to get the hang of it. Lots of on the water push-ups to get going then learning to fly the foil around at low speeds with paddle and keeping balance and everything moving along the center line and forward - that's where the stability is :) Practicing with this board has whipped me into the best shape ive been in 10 years. Also works super well with WING - No Brainer for me to use this board and spend the time learning.

Ha! Just learning here but so fun. I had another session a couple days later with paddle and working on my pop up to feet. It's so fun when you paddle even a little, you can feel your flying the foil before you are even close to coming up. I've had a wing session on it too, wow does it come up easy!! @crocodile172 - Yeah, we've got a local SS dealer that's really chill and pretty large SS community here. I was def curious about the UFO's when they came out and got 9 and 7 - sold those last year for 8M. Fred's bar came out and my "dealer" mentioned it and of course I said "Hell Yes!" - It pairs up good with the 8M. The day after this I was out on BRM 6.2 then 4.8M. I think I can finally put in to two sentences my view on both BRM Cloud and SS UFO: If it want slackline and glide wind bumps I'd pick the BRM Clouds. If the session is about going fast, spraying water with foil or learning to jump I'll rig up the 8M UFO (only SS kite I own) Thanks for the visit Croc!!

@@akinfar Yeah, I'm thinking to try this but not yet. I bet it is awesome to ride waves with it. I'm in Ontario (Canada). Not many beaches are with good waves around. So this thing is on hold for now. Currently just tryin to be proficient with my kitefoil. Just figured out 360 and tack. I have nice Sabfoil setup with two front wings for light and strong wind and set of Cabrinhha single strut kites (5/7/9/11m) which covers pretty much all the rideable wind around here.

@@akinfar Reason I asked about Slingshot vs Cloud - I tried my friend's 5m UFO v2 and 4.8m Cloud (D3 I think). And Cloud seemed to be way more enjoyable kite. Significantly faster (I could do those little helicopters with it right away) and perfect power on demand. Slingshot felt like much more serious kite. Almost like 3 strut all around kite. Just trying to make any sense out of it for myself. I expected both kites to be very similar but felt kinda opposite.

it is really clear and might be zebra shells on bottom reflecting back some. Also there was a new rendering setting on insta360 that I used for output, Dolby Vision or something :) hope to site fish a little near shore, saw shapes gliding over these deep while bottom patches - thanks T!

Thanks for the visit, we got really lucky this year in MSP with a couple different freezes and thaws, lots of fresh ice - most winters it's covered pretty quick with snow, then we take out skis and kites or Wings if enoiugh wind. Laters!
