Great discussion. Makes one sad looking back at our mistakes and losses. But your efforts just to enlighten the people with no selfish motive makes me hopeful for our country. You said in a discussion that even if you can influence one person you will consider it a victory. I wish you all the best. Thank you to you and your guest Dr Bokhari

Fatwa e Alamgiri is a Medieval 'Fascist' text.
It completely de humanizes Non Muslims and actively preaches to wage war and proselytize Islam to Non Muslims.

You directly shifted from Mughal Empire to Britishers .
You didn't mentioned Maratha Empire . May be because you were never told about that in your history.
Maratha defeated the Mughals and confined them to just Delhi. Mughal agreed ro pay Marathas tribute for their protection too.
Britishers took India by defeating various sections of Maratha Empire ( that later got decentralised).

Like the genetic roots of the Sufi scholar known as Rumi, the Uzbek legal genius behind the corpus Marghinani was a descendant of first Caliph of Islam.

Oversimplified (legitimized) Akbar's rule, Oversimplified Dara Shikhoh's execution (and the reasons)
While you may argue that it was Akbar who had Sufi backing,
But if you look closely you will find that it was Aurangzeb who had the Sufi backing, read Hazrat Sultan Bahoo's "Aurang Shahi", and how he calls Aurangzeb a "Pious Muslims" in his other books.
Your argument of using religion to legitimize one's rule could go both ways, for Aurangzeb and for Akbar as well, since Akbar too tried to appease his Hindu audience by adopting their customs and giving their religious leaders a spot in his court.
Also, whoever has any "misunderstandings" regarding Aurangzeb's life and rule, please read Audrey Trushke's Aurangzeb.
Once again grave oversimplification of jumping from Mughal rule to Britain's rule. There were Marathas, there were other "mutinies" there was Nadir Shah! Which all led to the downfall of the Mughals.
    Oversimplification after Oversimplification.

Musalmano ka Zawaal aya Muft ki Ayyashi aur Jahilpan ki wajah se.
Irony is, even 2 centuries later Muslims think that Zawaal has happened because of diversion from Religion.

The narrative is pushed in certain direction by cherry-picking facts that themselves are true but altogether miss the context. This is too large a period of history and frankly you have missed out the most important scholar Hazrat Mujaddad Alf Sani R.A. I believe either the author is misinformed or have misunderstood a lot of the facts.

  • @muhammadumernaseervisiting964

I must appreciate a less rhetorical approach on the subject which at least tries to be objective.
