Tomioka pulled a good tactic. Every fight has a certain tempo to it. Tomioka completely disrupted the demons riled up tempo with his calm tempo.
But isn't Dead Calm just the opposite? I once read that you move so fast that it looks like you are standing
@@luca9316 That’s what the technique does. But mentality of the user also matters. If you’re calm you’ll have a much easier time dealing with a raging bull. It’s like you’re thinking faster. I sometimes tap into that when playing video games, incredible feeling.
Tomioka was so calm in his movements that the spider kid didn’t sense his approach.

Also giyuu is in fact way stronger than iguro and Tokito, they are 7th and 8th in both strength and speed while giyuu is 3rd in strength and 4th in speed, also giyuu's swordplay it's by far the best among all the hashiras (the 2nd if we count himejima but he doesn't use a sword at all) so there's actually no a single thing where iguro and Tokito surpass him

I think everyone that becomes hashire has to make a form then passes the new set the those they train, that's why rengoku's 11th form is named after himself. He created it. not 100% sure but i think I read this somewhere

People sleep on inosuke, yes Giyu discovering the 11th form is amazing but Inosuke literally created his own breathing technique from scratch including the forms
It's more likely he encountered a demon in the mountains, saved by a demon slayer, saw how breathing works, and created a breathing technique himself. How would he join the demon slayer corps then? Knowing Inosuke seeing someone stronger than him would make him want to get stronger too. The breathing techniques and trainings are all Inosuke's but I'm sure it's that unknown slayer he encountered that told him about the final selection and demon slayers as a whole.
@@andreprades52 in one episode Inosuke explained how he fought a demon slayer and took his sword then the demon slayer told him about final selection and the existence of demons, he didn't mention anything about breathing technique, theres no really an origin on where did inosuke learned about breathing techniques, maybe they'll give it in future seasons
It’s not that uncommon. The love hashira also created her own breathing and took it to the next level.
It seems less like "techniques" and just slapping whatever "cool" names he can think of on random attacks, lol. Since he didn't have a proper teacher he probably doesn't understand what the forms are and what relevancy their names hold so he wings it in an attempt to mimic them

It took Tomioka a second to slice Rui's neck, like it was made of butter. While Tanjiro almost died fighting the fifth minor moon, that's how big the power difference was at the time.
Demon slayer makes the most sense it's not like Main character always have to defeat villains ...and Every hasiras are gonna play equal role on defeating the demons and they do not depend on Main characters

I just realized he's the strongest average human among the Hashiras cause the ones above him literally special people. Muichiro is a direct descendant of the strongest upper moon. Iguro is the only male from his family, Sanemi is the rarest marechi and is too hard to kill. Gyomei, no need to talk about Gyomei that guy's a walking 7 f't cheat code.
Sanemi being a rare marechi doesn’t make him stronger lol. Yes it fucks with demon senses but he’s literally deceived as “the man who pushed the wind style to the next level. Sanemi is considered the strongest wind style user ever. That has nothing to do with his blood. The same goes Iguro, what does him being the only male have to do with anything? The only one I can give you are muchiro and gyomei.
@@jamelgallagher6602 Sanemi is an next level wind user but giyu and him are on the same level but sanemi is a better demon slayer because his breathing is offensive and has blood rarer than marechi. So hes also special whereas giyus is just an avg guy who worked too hard and has no advantages like the others. and yes iguro doesn't really have any special abilities but hes not as strong as the top 3 hashiras.

The visual of the torrent of water around Giyu is to this day one of my favourite visuals in the entire series. The world around him is turbulent, chaotic, violent. It would wash away a lesser man. But in the midst of it all, he is dead calm.

I think it’s kinda bs that Rui cut his own head off. In the anime I’m pretty sure he said his neck was stronger than any of the threads he uses. Therefor, he could not cut his own head off.

Well he didn’t specify if his individual threads were stronger or not, and he was probably talking about their durability less than their actual power when they’re moving. Especially since a demon probably has enough strength to rip their own head off.

@@VotingHarmony well think about it this way, Tanjiro was trying to cut the threads but Rui could’ve put the threads around his neck and pulled. If you try to cut strings with a knife then it’s easy however if you try to pull the strings that are wrapped around a pole it’s a lot harder to rip the strings. You get what I mean?

fr tho, and let's say somehow he did something to cut off his head, nezuko literally burned all of his threads so there was no way, I love demon slayer but some parts of the story are BS
but tbf the durability of something and the strength/power of something dont always correlate. His strings can be easier to slash/break then his head but that doesnt mean they dont have enough power to be able to slice through his head. For example Maxixe (The Gem/Rock) has a hardness of 7.5 while obsidian has a hardness of 5 to 5.5. This means Maxixe can scratch obsidian and obsidian cant scratch Maxixe despite Obsidian being much more durable and breaking less easily than Maxixe

Whereas Sanemi literally fought 2 strongest demon on the same day and he was alive till the end with the most minimum injuries among the alive hashira giyuu.

I'm in a dilemma with this scene. On one hand, it's awesome and it shows how strong the hashiras really are. And Giyu's a badass for that.
On the other, we just had one of the most amazing moments in anime with Tanjiro's Hinokami Kagura. The fact that Rui is still alive after that ruins the moment.
Actually this scene serves three purpose.
1. It shows how strong a near upper moon demon can get. It also shows that cutting their head may not always work.
2. It shows the true potential of Tanjiro and serves as a setup for Sun Breathing Technique.
3. It shows how strong the Hasiras are actually. And how much they have to catch up.
