I was really close to buying the Arona FR Sport before opting for the Ibiza FR Sport. The interior on both cars is virtually identical, which isn't a bad thing as it's a pleasant place to be and the infotainment unit is the best I have seen.
Great Walkaround Video as always. I agree with you about the dashboard as I wish soft touch materials were used. I also like the Colour but not the Wheels
What is with car reviewers and their obsession with soft touch plastics, who cares if the top of the dash is hard plastic, it's a first world problem. To be fair all car reviewers seem overly obsessed with a minor issue. Is there a spare wheel option?, hate those tyre inflation kits
Hi Nigel, thanks for watching. It's to do with signs of quality and luxury; hard plastics often make the cabin feel cheaper and a bit nasty. In regards to the spare wheel, the majority of cars don't come with them now, so I only tend to mention that area if the car HAS got a spare wheel. If it's got an inflation kit I don't mention it almost goes without saying. Thanks for the feedback.
Hi Robert, thanks for watching, and for commenting. Softer plastics just point to better interior quality, but yes I get what you mean, no-one really spends their time rubbing the dashboard.
Nice car. The 17" alloys might look a bit small to you, Aaron, but I'd happily take these over 18 or 19" alloys because of the softer ride and the fact that you won't need to get them refurbed every 6 months. Personally, having a wife and child with too much stuff, I'd probably be looking at the Ateca. Still, I reckon the Arona is a good car and will be very interested to see how you think it shapes up against the Vitara S...
That is true Steve - maybe it would have been better if the design of the 17" rims was more pleasing to my taste, but that's subjective of course. As much as I like the Vitara S, I'd choose this every day. Thanks for watching, Steve.

The FR Sport gets the suede seats as well, which are really nice 👍Thanks for watching, Ron.

plastic hard to touch = first world problem
I don't get the hard plastic bit, do you often spend time in the car rubbing the dashboard or what?
