- A few months ago SEAT announced that its new Digital Cockpit technology will be available as standard on all FR, Sport, Xcellence Lux trim levels and various special edition models. This technology has recently become available of Ibiza and Arona models, despite it having already been rolled out on higher-specification Ateca and Leon models since early last year.
Take a look at the features this handy virtual colour display has to offer as Senior Sales Executive, Peter, gives us an in-depth, step-by-step tutorial into how to use the new Digital Cockpit to its full potential. Learn how to change the fully customisable LCD screen from a traditional analogue dial view to fully digital or a combination of the two, plus much more! To do this simply use the VIEW button and the scroll bar to the right of the steering wheel to control/zoom in and out of various display options.

Just bought a 2019 Leon ST FR Evo this week. The digital cockpit is brilliant
We're so pleased to hear this! It is a brilliant addition ☺
Just ordered mine, looking forward to it
Looking forward to the Ateca Xcellence Lux :)
Very good video!!! Can I take this digital screen for Ibiza 6j 2009-2012 ???
Very nice thanks for the info
Leon St fr sport coming tomorrow. This Tutorial big help. Thanks
Thank you, Jon! We hope you're loving your ST FR Sport ☺
@@SnowsMotorGroup It really has been a massive suprise how good it is. agile practicle smooth and loaded with kit. a real hidden gem.
@@jonjennings1587 We're over the moon to see this! It's great that you're enjoying it.
Many thanks, very clear
Got a Tarraco FR coming in around 4 weeks. Cant wait...Is it possible to have saved preset? In case my wife likes a certain setup and myself another?
Hi, Is it possible to change the speed and odometer readings from kph to mph in the settings menu?
I pick my ateca cupra up on monday and cant wait.
Oh thanks so much for telling us that! 🙄
Cant wait till i get my leon xccilence lux
Thanks for telling us about that! 🙄
I am learning to use it.
Thanks for letting us know that! 🙄
Great video, I am picking up a 19 plate cupra this week up at Stoke Seat and its the first time i have this mega cool digi cockpit. If you use the sat nav with Android Auto, can this be displayed where the clocks are too? Or does the clock displayed sat nav only work for the in built sat nav? Thanks!
Any update on this? Are you able to do this
@dizzy786ih you can't use android auto or the apple one with the dash unfortunately
@@Toblakai77such a shame, I'm close to buying one but this won't stop me from buying it!
Can you have the Map displayed on both displays at the same time on Seat Ateca?
Only with the big Navigation Plus System.
Hi, I’ve just bought a 2019 Ibiza Xcellence Lux withe the virtual cockpit. And the car has Navigation too, how do i get the Navigation to show on the virtual cockpit screen, as i can’t find it there?
Do all digital cockpits come with sat nav
Is it possible to fit one of these digital clocks to a standard Ateca. Would it work with my display screen
What happens when you use android auto? Does it show Google maps or just says its connected to android auto? I have a leon Fr but want a leon cupra as my next car and would be interested to know. All it says on my dash is its connected to android auto and that's it at the moment!
I’ve seen a 2019 Ibiza FR Sport, it has a digital cockpit too, will this be able to display the map on the instrument cluster or is that an option extra that may not be on the car?
No
The Nav can be displayed on both screens on my 2018 Arona FR. In fact, when I switch to Nav on the infotainment screen it over rides what I have in the centre section of the digital cockpit display. Meant to or gremlin?
Hmm... That's an odd one! We don't believe this is the case although I advise popping into your local SEAT dealer so they can check it out in person ☺
Can you get google maps on the main screen where the speedo is through Google maps
Very nice but did you do the scrolling and changing by magic ? What are you pressing to do all of this please ?
Good question, Ron! We are using the buttons e.g. 'view' and scrolling bar on the right-hand side of the steering wheel ☺
@@SnowsMotorGroup Thanks had my Leon Cupra 290DSG just over a week now and just about worked it out. Loving the car BTW can't wait till I get it run in :)
@@ronhavelock1870 Oh wow, we're pleased to hear that! If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with us, we would be more than happy to help ☺ ^ZB
Just ordered my FR Sport Ibiza, just rolled off the factory line I believe
Lucky you I still have to wait till march
Kieron Skinner Mines due to arrive middle of March, what colour did you go for?
White mate, 115 hp, I had the normal fr last march but it got wrote off in December 😜 had it chipped to 138 hp
Kieron Skinner Oh no that's a shame, but good now you're getting a new one! I wanted black as I have a black car now and do a lot of vehicle detailing so when it's all clean black looks beautiful, but the wait list was too long and I'd be without a car! So I opted for the Metallic mystery blue which looks great! I too got the 115 engine! Really looking forward to the tech inside the car though!
@@JackOEllingham they are quick even without a chip 😝 and the tech even on the regular fr was good but this one will be even better haha
My choice would be rev and speed in centre with trip computer and fuel consumption and mpg is it easy to reset trip computer?
Hi Sanj, it is easy yes! Simply consult the handbook for further details ☺
That’s nice, thanks for letting us know that! 🙄
Can you have the map on both displays on an Ibiza?
Answer: Yes. It wasn't quite a full tutorial.
How do you get it like it is at 5:10?
What is the difference between FR model and Xcellence? Still can”t figure it out. The prices are the same
🔧 🤡
There seems to be no option to have a 30mph marker on the speedo gauge, which is disappointing for the UK. There's the numerical speedo, but many prefer glancing at a gauge.
I agree, this would put me off the digital display and opt for the analogue speedo models of the Ibiza.
Hello how I connect my phone to the WiFi in my car ateca seat 2024 thank you
That central rev is only for Cupra models? Such a shame, that is best looking option
I have leon cupra 2018 (and newer radio with only 2 physical buttons) and do not have this screen
@@szikakao2 probalby when Cupra is separated from Seat they put this new layout with central rev counter. I persume this is Cupra Ateca in this video ...
Leon Cupra 290 models with the copper badges have the central rev counter display. My Cupra 300 has the slightly older digital cockpit without the centre rev counter
bought a 17 plate leon and swapped a virtual cockpit in, just learning how to use it😎
Fantastic! We hope this little tutorial was of some use to you 😊 Enjoy!
How much costs the virtual cockpit upgrade? I want it to
@@jonkodamyt779 mine cost around £700
@@mattywilliams8329 I’m looking to buy a 17 plate Leon fr I’m just wondering how you installed the virtual cockpit or did you get a garage to do it ?
Is it possible to have navigation information in the cockpit as you've shown, but based on the apple car play or android auto navigator? In a particular way "Google Maps" from Android?
Please answer.
Thank you,
need to know this too
I think you might have to have mirror link ....but Im not sure...
I'm afraid that this isn't a feature that's available! Sorry for any inconvenience.
So the virtual cockpit is useless for Google maps. Nice move VW.
Hi, Could be possible have this Digital Cockpit on TGI 1.5 FR (metano)?
Not sure but I bet you could swap it all out and do it yourself
Ask Seat!
0:53: "As I scroll through...". How do you scroll?
Can someone help me, when I choose for example view 1 and then want to change the left side I can’t, it’s stuck on navigation and I can only change the right side. I’ve reset all settings and still I can’t change.
I don’t have road sign on my tarraco excellence I don’t know why?
I’m sure that if YOU had the same model you’d realise how to ‘scroll’ 🙄
Is it available on non sport fr
Hi Jake! In the UK, the SEAT Digital Cockpit only comes as standard on Xcellence Lux and FR Sport models for Arona, Ateca, Ibiza and Leon. It does also feature on CUPRA Ateca, SEAT Leon ST CUPRA R and SEAT Leon Evo FR models :) hopefully this helps! ^ZB
@@SnowsMotorGroup Hi thanks for your reply. It is a shame it's not with the FR though.
I have arona excellence without digital cockpit...is it possible to install it now..?
Sorry Kast, this isn't a downloadable feature!
Snows Motor Group I mean to buy a digital cockpit and install it in my car...is this possible..?
Thanks a lot for the reply...
I don't believe that this would be possible but perhaps get in touch with your local SEAT dealer to find out for sure!
@@kastmerk440 It's not possible mate
what do you think this is?! an app download?! dude, if you want it then you'll have to buy the newer car. simple.
It's a pity the Arona doesn't have the map on both screens.....maybe that could be fixed in a software/firmware update.
We'll let you know if it does, Bailey! ☺

Can anyone explain why my total mileage has left the screen on my digital.display on my 2019 seat leon fr and now only displays when the car is stationary?
My 2018 Leon doesnt show total mileage if engine is running and cruise control whisker is on. If I push the cruise control whisker to off then it shows total mileage even if engine is running.
The instrument cluster in my Seat was saying “since start distance” and “since start time” in the left and right dial respective. For some reason they’ve now change to “long-term distance” and “long term time” and I’m unable to find the “since start” option when scrolling through the options. Anybody had this or got any ideas how to fix it? Cheers.
did you find out how to change this mate? same issue here.
@@cameronhiggins8948 I did yeah, if you scroll to the “overview menu” with the right dial, it will show the current “since” selection. If you press the right wheel in, “ok”, it will then cycle through since start, since refuelling and long term. The display in the clusters will also change to match which ever 1 you select.
Hope this helps. 👍🏼🙏🏼
Omg you are a life saver! I had it set to 'all time consumption' and I wanted 'from the start'. It was driving me nuts since manual didnt help at all.
Thank you its working now as I want it to. 👍
@@ricky_drinks47 absolute legend, been driving me mental for months not being able to figure out how to change back to since start from long term, you’re a genius!
I currently have a Ford C-Max. I am looking to change to a Sear Xcellence Lux in the near future. It looks like I'll miss the Ford option to have my speed clearly displayed in big numbers rather than that confusing and busy so-called digital cockpit. I really don't want to see my speed after interpreting an analogue speedometer. I want to instantly recognise my speed at a smallest and quickest of glances.
Well don’t buy one then….just stay a Ford shepherd (if that’s what you are so ‘used to’)!!

I have been driving my SEAT Ateca Xellence Lux, 1.5 seven speed automatic for the last Fifteen months ... and it is Xellent! The best car that I have ever owned or even driven.
Because I have to drive with an adaption (under ring accelerator) I have a half throttle button on the steering column. When I push that button, the car goes like a bat out of Hell.
And as for adaptive cruise control, it is a godsend that I will never be without.

All fine until your 3 month old Ibiza dash goes completely blank! Came back on after being left for an hour. Rubbish.
Oh well !!
Anyone know what the weather is like tomorrow ? 🙄
