Baristas Making Coffee in a Busy Espresso Bar

  • Watch as the Artisti barista's along with Jimmy Evans make coffee in our espresso bar for thirty minutes in one of our busier times of the day. Jimmy is on milk, Ethan is on shots, Lauren is taking orders at the POS and Elijah is the runner helping out anywhere else that's needed like replacing milk bladders and washing up.
    Interesting things to observe are how they work as a team, the flow of coffee from the placement of an order through to being served. Interactions between themselves as well as customers and also the preparation time from when an order is placed.

    Quite a few people behind the counter for a bar this size. I've rarely seen more than 3 with the exception of large chains e.g. Starbudks. However, fun to watch this team at work.

    I have a question about drip tray...
    I found someone throw steamed milk into the drip tray at the cafe where I work ... I think it is not good idea as it cause clogging the pipe... could you kindly tell me the answer?

    only take away ? does staying in play a part in the process during rush hour ?

      We do some dine in but it's a small percentage for us. Most of what we do through our espresso bar is takeaway. We are located in an industrial area so people usually wander in during breaks grab a coffee and head back. We don't offer any food so we don't have a lot of people hanging around for too long.

      We keep track of each bag so we have a daily tally of coffee used 😊
