When I ‘revised’ I jot down quotes and easier ways to remember them and also gave an example answer using my knowledge and quotes. I’ve never revised before but my exams are starting next week and imma check out all your vids in hopes it helps!

This is great advice and I’m definitely going to use this for my final exams in 2021

Nizam Ahmed you can get a snap revision book they’re realllyyy good
If you google mark schemes for English language it gives examples for what you would write to get a certain amount of marks. Hopes this helps ☺️

I'm a yr nine thinking of doing an extra option (art in my free time since my current art is already at grade 9) so just watching these vids to see how much studying all the subjects involve- anyways wish me luck guys
if you speak a different language, try do that as an extra option, as it is a free GCSE. ask your teachers if they have that language available for free, if not then you have to pay. but its definetely worth it as youll be 1 gcse above everyone else. if you dont speak an extra language already, try doing an easier subject or one your already really good at. if your not doing a language, cover 1-2 hours worth of content a week all the way up from year 10 to gcses, as i already said, its hard work but an easy gcse which will put you above everyone else

Hi. Do you have any tips for english and history essay writing coursework? I'm having trouble with starting with an introduction. I have mocks coming in september which might contribute to my predicted grades which is worrying me. I knwo I have the summer holidays but do you have any tips and tricks to revise more quickly and effectively over time? It's just that I'm kinda stessed, especially about English and History.

The problem with full papers is that because of copyright reasons, exam boards can't show you the sources for the practice papers.

Why don't you type your essays up and send it to him- it'll be much quicker to get a response.

got a 7 in my nov mocks (yr11) by luck tbh…i didn’t revise at all and in my june mock (yr10) i got a 5! i hope to go up to a 9 but i struggle on paper 1 question 2 and 4, and paper 2 question 2 and 4! haven’t watched the vid yet but i will now! :)

I did this method and in one paper (1) I got 42/80 and I did another paper (1) and I got 52/80 because my teachers marked it and they gave really good feedback

Yo, i’m in Year 10 and i have started revising 2/3 hours a day (mainly making revision cards etc). I just wondered how long you revised for when you first started in year 10. Also how often/ long did you revise for in the summer after year 10 mocks? Thanks, I am finding the tips very helpful. 👍🏽
Jake I’ll be honest, in year 10 I revised very little so just by starting already you are way ahead of the game
Top tip. Try and learn the content before your class so your ahead and make sure u finish all content like maths, science and english literature and then u can make flashcards or do practise questions then get better.
I’m also a y10 and I’ve also been making revision cards and mind maps. I haven’t done any mocks because of quarantine😩 so imma have to do them myself lol. Glad I’m not the only y10 revising :)

What should I do if I don't have anyone to get feedback from? The only person I have is my English teacher but he is very unreliable - he took 2 months to mark our classes mock exams.
You could look for people online or just practice based on model answers so like look at what they do well and try to implement it. Essentially use what others have done well in your own answers
