The buttons on the sides of the joycons are for when you are playing with one joycon. They function as the shoulder buttons when using side con
but they do make them more comfortable to hold both if you have bigger hands, i do the same as him since i dont really like the pro controller

Wolfey, I'm new to the channel and I've enjoyed most of your content thus far. The videos I enjoy the most are when you are most competitive and try to win and excel at the game. I would also recommend a competitive/fun series featuring you and other VGC players (especially Cybertron) where you do a best of 3 or even best of 5 and then after the video you do a joint commentary of the game-play. Keep doing what you're doing and as long as you're sincere, you'll do great things. Good Luck!

The two side buttons on the joycons are for two player games with single joycon multiplayer and they work as ZL & ZR buttons (4:49)
this is the perfect team to learn VGC with, its easy to use and fun as hell so its good for basic understanding of what works.
totally would prefer watching 90 mins of Wolfe playing pokemon than a movie. Our champ rocks!

Those Dracovish joycons are so cool! The inside buttons on the joycon become L and R when you're playing a game that uses only one sideways joycon as the controller (e.g. in something like Mario Party)

I loooove this type of video, please make more! Your commentary and mid match analysis is super helpful for someone trying to get into competitive. The explanations on why you think X pokemon is in the back or why X attack is probably coming helps me learn the types of things i should be thinking of against different teams, and i personally find it really fun to watch. You almost certainly didn't see my comment but I actually requested specifically this exact thing of try-harding the ladder because it's a good thing to see non-meme things and actually see someone who is good at what they do, go out and try to get the best results they can.
I love when you reflect on what happened since you have so much knowledge to share. (also i just like hearing you ramble lol) I think this kind of wideo is great and you should do more of it!
I've been out of the competitive scene since 2017, but I still love watching these longer and more serious wideos.

I'm one of your viewers that isn't subscribed yet, I watch your videos when they pop up in my feed and while they're enjoyable, the main reason I watch is to get a glimpse at competitive Pokémon because I'm super new to it and I'm super intrigued by it. So, having a type of video dedicated to serious gameplay is great for me.
I used to be the guy asking for a metranome team, but my goal has been accomplished. What is a man if he has nothing to work toward? What will I work to achieve? But maybe a bigger question, What should I ask for next? While I am having my identity crisis I find your videos very interesting and I enjoy them very much.

Oh, and a protip for joycon straps: They have the plus/minus on them - you want to match that to your joycon's plus/minus. that will guarantee you're putting it on correctly.

Actually popped off when I saw that Wolfey wideo was an hour and a half long :D
The opponent almost choked on the second to last turn of the last game. Dragapult had proven it has no protect and Coalossal had proven that is has, so they should have gone for Dragapult like Wolfe predicted. The only two ways for Wolfe to win at that point anyway would have been to Protect Coalossal and hope they choke by Night Shading Coalossal first, or not Protecting and hoping for Night Shade on Coalossal and crit with one Dragon Dart. Of the two, the former would obviously have been better. There was no other win con because I don't think even a crit form Coalossal could have killed.
But yeah, I'm not saying Wolfe misplayed, because the protect win con relied entirely on the opponent choking. It should have been a surefire loss. It's just easy to theorize in hindsight.
Day 4 of asking: you should use sirfetchd because Wolfey, you are a sir
