I would do this again, but make the rules more strict. Maybe give them 4 routes and you can only catch one pokemon from each route.

Hope you do more of this stuff, its extremely fun to see not completely competitive teams being fought with, feels more like the actual in game battles where teams are more haphazard and generally based on whatever you can find.

Damn I really want to do this now, a tournament of this could be so fun! If you did the teambuilding on showdown doubles would be more feasible too which would be cool.
The areas being random is a bad idea. There should be a tier list of areas and both get equal tiers or they get the same three areas.
100% there needs to be a Twitch Pokemon League soon. I NEED IT!
You should do a series where you battle a friend on showdown where you have like 5 minutes to build a team and each player can pick a Pokémon beforehand and if you have that Pokémon on your team you can’t use it.

If you guys like stuff like this, I recommend a UA-camr named quick gg. Him and his friend have been doing challenges like this for like 2 years now. They are very entertaining and binging videos of theirs is easy
