Was thinking Middleden, Middleden where have I have heard that before...ah Kirkcaldy! Been there before couple of years ago was really wet l, actually think they have done a lot of work on the trails since I was there, good stuff and cheers for trip down memory lane 😁🚵♂️🤙
@@muddymongoosemtb9873 For some reason your comment disappeared of my vid (UA-cam does that sometimes so no stress) But we are planning on heading down that way this year is all things go well. We'll deffo hit you up when we do. :D
Yeah, litter is a problem at Braefoot as well unfortunately. I don’t know why people can’t take it home with them...I don’t think it’s all mtbers doing it though.
im enjoying watching your videos, im also not great at jumping but what i found really helped me was to learn to american bunny hop and transfer that technique onto the jumps, since then i definitely feel better!
Thanks mate! 😁🤙. Cheers for the advice, I appreciate it. I’ve tried doing the American bunny hop but can’t get the pop up bit right either!😂😂😂. I’ll give it a go again, practice, practice, practice! 😁😁🤙🤙🤙
@@muddymongoosemtb9873 yeah it took me a really long time, I have just been practicing an hour a day whilst working from home, nearly gave up many times 😂
@@jackyvamps see...lockdown hasn’t been all bad! Learning to bunny hop and improving jumping - not bad at all! 😁😁😁🤙🤙🤙. Glad to hear that you persevered and got there in the end- it gives me hope!😁🤙🤙
@@jarozip it’s opposite the road from Kirkcaldy High school. If you type Middleden Kirkcaldy into google maps it will show you where it is. I hope that helps.😁🤙
Thanks mate.😁. Yeah there’s nothing crazy there but it really is a great place to learn, compact with a good progression of difficulty. The board grades some of the trails as red but I’d say most of the trails are blue some hard blues but not much harder than that. Still great fun though. The trail Pistol Whip on it’s own made it worth the visit. Apparently there have been quite a few new jumps put in the the past couple of weeks since I was there. 😁🤙🤙
You should have a look at learning how to bunnyhop. I found that helped with jumping. I’ve been on those wee jumps down there and if you hop then you don’t need much speed. Speed isn’t always the answer and you can end up hitting something way too fast and losing control.
Cheers mate, yes it’s that hopping technique that I’ve come to realise is very important to master. I’m trying to work on that now...not got it yet! Thanks for the advice mate I really appreciate it.👍😁🤙
Great vid; those are my local trails and they do have a lot of potential. They could do with some TLC and creative trail builders going down and reconfigure some of the trails. There have been some improvements done lately. Some new jumps and gaps are in the process of being built, they were up at the top end, near the main road across from the school. Not in the same class as other local trails but with a good squad of riders and some imagination, they could be great.
Yeah definitely has a lot of potential. Do you know if they were council built? They’ve got proper signage and stuff, it is a pity some of the wooden bridges etc are in need of repair. It’s a good sign that people are building jumps etc, they might take it further and work on the other trails too.
@@muddymongoosemtb9873 Fife Council would be my guess but nothing has been done to them in years. The Pistol Whip trail is fairly new though, but the rest of the trails have been neglected for a while. Those jumps you were on, were actually really good in their day- well built , safe and a great place to practice;the run in was smooth and not full of pot holes like you experienced.
@@michie2510 it wouldn’t take much to repair them I don’t think or the run in. They were nicely proportioned and spaced out, I’m just still pretty garbage at jumping and just couldn’t get a lot of lift on them but that’s a problem I have in general when trying to jump. 😂😂😂
