    Great, great video mate. We were with you the whole way. I think the fact you were so honest about the fear made it even better. Also, those conditions were not ideal. Brilliant mate. That's inspired me to get up there.

    Great effort on the jump and nice sessioning video. That new jump trail looks pretty scary for me. I’ve done the orange a few times and never a proper effort and keen to try the gap near end. But I’m 50 and only started jumping this year. Nailed keeping my feet on flat pedals on jumps in last few weeks. The new blue jump trail at tarland has been great for sessioning a few features to build confidence and the local Yeti trails nearer to home. Great to see these Jump trails being built in Scotland and the youngsters hitting them ❤

    Well, that was timely... We're heading up to Aviemore this weekend so there's a better than even chance we'll end up at Glenlivet on one of the days. It looks like a lot has changed in the couple of years since we were last there (and it's a bit less of a traipse than Tarlands would be...). Cheers.

    Looks sticky! I do worry about trails built with this sort of clay rich dirt in our perennial rain. Some of the Tarland trails built with the same sort of dirt weren't holding up too well yesterday. Trail maintainers will have earnt their dinner for sure

      That was a concern I had when riding Tarland, but the weather was dry when I was there, so it was hard to gauge.

    Really wish people would stop shouting "RIDER!!" as if it gives them the right of way when approaching from behind.
    It works for enduro racing, but makes slower riders on normal ride days panic. Just slow down and pass when it's safe ffs.

    • @RamsayMacFarlane
      @RamsayMacFarlane Рік тому +1

      It's not neceserily for clearning riders out the way - it's for letting people know you're dropping into a trail when on a session so pushers can get out the way or people can video! Totally against folk shouting ahead for slower riders to get out the way though, hate that - just slow down and take a gap!

    • @McTrailRider
      @McTrailRider  Рік тому +1

      I agree with Ramsey here, this isn’t shouting from an arrogance stand point, it’s for safety.
      There were many people riding short sections of trail and then pushing back up, or looking at the jumps etc.
      Many of them shouting rider to the others if they seen someone coming down the trail.
