Marvelous . Thought it was already singled in 1989. 😮. Always used to look at the disused platforms. And thought how spooky they were in the 90's. A truly wonderful surviving railway. Helped me become an addict! 😅.
Very very good video Nicholas! I didn't travel on the Penistone Line that much but I did travel on the 141s on the Leeds to Huddersfield locals. The tunnel scenes bring back memories of leaving Morley station and immediately entering Morley tunnel and the the noise travelling through on a hot summer's day with all the windows open was absolutely deafening!
Thanks Nick it’s brought many memories of the line in its hey days. 😎
When you say 1989 it doesn't "seem" long ago but there was no internet, mobile phones etc....how time flies.
Great video, I lived in Denby Dale for 27 years and used to go to Meadowhall and Huddersfield on that line👍
Thanks for bringing back memories of travelling the line when I lived at Denby Dale in the 1960's and caught the train to Huddersfield.
You sir are a legend! Your UA-cam account is a vast array of archives and a national treasure. Great to find this video thanks for sharing:)

Superb, yet again!
The Denby Dale platform is being extended this week now
