I rate your coverage of this area of regeneration as the best on You Tube at the moment - keep them coming! I am not from Huddersfield but my son lives nearby in Honley so he and the family use Huddersfield quite a lot!
Great footage, I work on this project. You seem to know more than most on the project 😂. Next year we have a 30 day blockade which will provide some additional footage. Deighton station earthworks is known locally as E3 earthworks. Deighton station will have a new drop off point with a turnaround access from Whitacre Street. Hill House sidings will be brought back into use with 4 new sidings lines. Bridge will be jacked to make clearance for new rolling stock and electrification. One of the biggest features is the new Ravensthorpe flyover.
Cool! Used to live close by at Woodhouse Mill cottage many years ago.The expansion of the trackbed here looks pretty close to where the junction to Kirkburton used to split and head over Leeds Road & The Canal
Brilliant footage again. And thank you for posting more on screen information. I'm from Huddersfield but because these works are so extensive it's difficult to recognise places east of Huddersfield station sometimes 🤔 I've just subscribed.
That will be really interesting to see. There are just a couple of bits where you can't really get an idea of what's happening from ground level, so an overhead view would show the progress well.
@@sarahandwills I sent my drone around Deighton the other day. Going to look at other locations around Hudds too also by drone ua-cam.com/video/nx8I4Hr0EIY/v-deo.html

Thanks for this. That's really useful info. It'll be interesting to watch it take shape over the coming months 👍
Hillhouse sidings will also be used as a temporary station for Huddersfield while that is closed for the upgrade work. Unsure of dates yet
I love infrastructure project like these so thanks for doing the film. I dont live near this particular project so keep the vids coming.
Ace footage. Cheers. Went thru Ravensthorpe today on bus as no train LDS to HDS.
Thanks. There's certainly a lot of work going on at Ravensthorpe. I think they have to close one of the roads for 10 days at some point
Thanks Sarah for the updates 😎

I think you're right. I'm not really familiar with the Kirkburton route, but I've had a glance at an old map and you look to be spot on

Awesome video! Any idea what the line speed on the new fast lines will be?
I think I read somewhere it will be 100mph, but I might be mistaken
A lot of ground covered in this video!!
