Honestly? I’m so HAPPY that Sonic is getting this position because although these movies in this franchise aren’t Oscar nominee level good or “The greatest movies ever made”, what they DO got, are a team of people who are just as passionate about the Blue Blur alongside the fans who grew up with Sonic. The fact that Paramount saw the fan’s reaction to the original Sonic design and instead of ignoring the valid criticism like so many other companies, they said “You know what? The fans are right. This design really IS ugly, let’s give the fans what they WANT.” Even going as far as to delay the movie JUST to fix Sonic’s design, That ALONE shows that the people behind these movies actually CARE about Sonic on par with the fans of the fastest blue hedgehog alive for the past 30 years!

I think the franchise works for 3 reasons: 1) The filmmakers listened to the fans, 2) Shadow (having a mysterious character) and his rivalry / compainonship with Sonic and 3) Jim Carrey as Dr. Eggman, plus a story that is touching the heart of the audience. I was happy to watch Sonic 3 and am looking forward to part 4. Thanks for the video, the game sequences really fit very well!

I personally expect this movie franchise to go higher and higher as time goes because there is a lot of sonic stories to tell and like when the sonic movie franchise is going to like one of the plot heavy games If done right which I'm sure it will since they are a dedicated team of passionate sonic fans who understands the source material they will like hit the jackpot like stories like 06 ,adventure 1,frontiers,unleashed etc has a lot plot heavy moments that people will love to be remade in the actual movies , I can't wait for the rest of where this going

4 mil. is impressive, but I kinda think it deserves more, or should at least be close to Mario. I don't think the Mario movie was that bad, (and criticizing it for making many references is kinda unfair, because the Sonic trilogy are full of references too, heck the first Sonic movie had the car bed from the old Archie Sonic comics) but I can understand some criticism of it. I don't agree with people saying it should of been Charles Martinet as Mario, as honestly Mario's goofy game voice wouldn't work for a full movie, and would get annoying and can't convey emotions well. While I enjoyed Pratt, I understand some criticism of him, as aside from giving Mario a nice NY accent like the old cartoons, his voices are basically just "some guy." I'd say, Pratt was better as Mario though then say Seth Rogan as DK, as he didn't even give DK a voice, he just used his voice.
