1. Dont have IIT and AIIMS but still it is Education Hub of India
2. Dont have metro , ring road , No proper airport and public transportation but still best city in ease of living.
3. It's not even a capital or second capital city of any state but still it is IT and Automobile hub of India and part of top 10 most economical cities in India in terms of GDP.

Pune is the best city in the country. In this important to develop independent nation/international airport The present Lohegaon airport is under IAF and there restrictions in civil aviation operations. PMRDA should take up this project.
Great development plan on paper. Number one city without its own airport. Last 30 years I live in Pune. I am hearing of anew airport coming up ai Chakkan Rajguru nagar and Purandar. But even today after more than 15 years of proposal nothing is being done. The politicians now wants Airforce to shift to a new place and hand over their most strategic air port to to them for entirely civil use. Let all the politicians sit together and think of city's development and not party's interest.

To be honest after 2010 pune is always ignored when it comes to development.
1.The metropolitan where almost 90 lakhs people lives should have been dense metro network much before but reality it is still under construction and not enough whereas cities like nagpur, jaipur, lucknow where there no need of metro(I visited nagpur and metro was running empty even in peak hours) are ready with metros.
2. The city which has highest number of 2 wheelers should have had Ring road to reduce the heavy vehicles traffic but still the construction is not initiated yet. Whereas all other small cities have outer ring road to smooth inner city traffic.
3. The city which has 2nd largest IT hub and largest automobile hub is still struggling for its International airport.
No 1 city in india is pune👍👍👍
