    Great video and hard to imagine a better organised event! My family back home were jealous and said we had better celebration than they did :D

    Fantastic to see cultural traditions living on on the other side of the world! Looks like a great time, and must have been quite therapeutic for the family too. Hope you're all doing well!

    Yeah in Latvia we take it for granted more, it’s just now for nost part a casual barbecue (shashlik) thing with rather shitty Jāņi country/schlager/pop songs if you are older or just some random music if you are younger, but people abroad still keep traditions alive. And also official bigger events, there they can be found too. But not that much just with a random Latvian family unless it is some bigger gathering of people. But there will be the traditional fire at least

      hahahaha that sounds like at least one of my experiences with Jāņi in Latvia - although I did have one amazing Jāņi - incredibly hot, and a big party at the end, wild time!
