  • Neon Gobies (Elacatinus oceanops) are some of the most important fish on Caribbean reefs, as they serve to remove parasites from larger fish. They live on coral heads that become cleaning stations that the reef fish learn to visit when they need the services of the neon gobies. This boulder brain coral (Colpophyllia natans) was serving as home to a whole colony of more than a dozen neon gobies.
