- Third times a charm! Luck hasn’t gone my way in the past, where big fish like this one have snapped me off. Reasons like these are what inspired us to start filming our outdoor adventures. Mother Nature has a keen ability to abruptly change expectations of your day in the wild. This is why we are addicted to the outdoors. Just guys being dudes with a passion for the outdoors. What's in your wagon?
You have to be the most chilled guy I have ever seen with a musky on his line.
I was just so nervous to lose her the whole time. I am quite chill in the first place. Best fishing memory by far.
when she grabbed the bag of the net like a musky guide i was like "thats wife material"
Threw a ring on it this summer lol
Thank you for releasing that awesome fish!!
Great catch !!
It always seems to happen when you least expect it when it comes to musky. Good to know the St. Lawrence still has some quality fish in it!
Your first muskie is always a surprise hook up!! and what a monster too!!!
TBH, ole boy just seeing wtf is that no way possible way I could have thrown that thing back wow a F ‘in monster wahhhhhhh had to exciting my lord
Wow crazy catch!
Best bet job I've ever seen
That was sweet. What a monster
Awesome net job and catch!!!!!
Good job you had a leader and light line tied on so you took you time which is better than snapping the line from the leader on the hanging off the beautiful fish.
Thank you. I have had similar situation in my kayak but lost the fish. Having the troll motor was huge.
Wow beautiful fish!!!!!! We also fish in messena we live in waddington!!! We should do a video together sometime.
315 Outdoors Yeah for sure. I live in Oregon now but I will be visiting over the summer
Crazy vid man, I’m like 2 hours south of Massena and plan to take a trip there sometime this summer to hopefully hook into one of these!
Right on man. I am from Tupper Lake. Live in Oregon now since finishing up school at Clarkson. Where are you from?
Pierson St. Pierre Watertown. Not a bad place to fish, just doesn’t have fish that size lmao
Brendan Williams I fished there a few times and loved it. Definitely good smallies on Ontario
Pierson St. Pierre yeah their nice fighters for their size
impressive skill on that rod...what a pig of a fish
St.Croix are the best. Cant afford the fancy ones though. Thanks!!
Nice 👌man I live on the other side of the river ..
Awesome!
Great video brother, you were so calm. What a fish WOOOOOOOO
absolute monster
Now that’s a monster….Vince Connors of Tupper Lake
Thanks Vince. Lots of luck that day. Bottom line, you can’t get lucky if your line isn’t in the water. Good luck fishing.
Sick bro, grandparents have a house on the st lawrence just outside kingston what do you reccomend I fish with lures and lb test ?
for Musky or what ever?
@@Pcstpierre23 yeh for musky. I just use drop shot rigs for smallies when I'm there but if u have any recommendations for them as well please lmk
@@Pcstpierre23 caught a bigass northern snakehead there too I live in nj catch em all the time here but I never woulda though I would have caught one that north
I honestly do not target Musky that often, I have a cousing that loves throwing 9-13 inch rapalas and is pretty successful. I must say I have had 2 other musky encounters with same set up I was using in this video. Sometimes they want to eat something smaller. @@nickcampbell9258
Thats awesome I love drop shooting smallies, I like jackal cross tail minnow, they are like 5 bucks a pack and work just as well as the yamamato D shad minnow. They say bass tubes in a green pumpkin/mustard yellow imitate gobies quite nicely, and lately Spy baits are become very popular within the last year. (pretty much a stick bait lure that allows you to fish really deep) Haven't run one myself but a buddy of mine kills em with it. @@nickcampbell9258
seemed like a satisfactory release.. .. i would say 47 lbs
I rolled a giant in there a few years back … I wanted to throw up..
What a horrible release!!!! I'm wondering why you edited the part taking the hook and taking it out of the net?
Time to buy a bigger net. Good job.
What abu is that reel?
Nevermind just saw it at the end - subscribed
I might have released him a little lighter than that
New York side?
You bet Mr. T
Pierson St. Pierre me too
Holy crap. Thats not a muskie. That thing is an alligator!!
I swear I don't get fishing ... why'd you release that big ass fish ?
Haha I can get a replica done if I want to hang it on my wall. I only eat walleyes.
Because not many fish are that big and if u release it it will be there and grow bigger and other ppl. Can enjoy catching it. If u Wana eat fish just eat the smaller ones
It's a musky my dude. Why would you keep it?
dude is this not a tiger?????
I don't believe so. Tigers are generally smaller than that. And the stripes are more defined.
Larries can have really barred patterns
Awesome man! Don't listen to all the hate! Check us out at Dying to live outdoors!
I go there all the time and catch 20 lbs and I didn’t know they where that big
i had to dump my ex gf because she couldn't net anything above 50"
LMAO love it
What part of st lawrence u was at
Massena NY!
At the dam
Should of measured it that’s pretty big
It measured 53" long didn't get a girth measurement because I was getting eager to get her back in the water.
Pierson St. Pierre nice what a beast
Fkd up way to release a trophy like that...
Could have been better but just wanted to get it back in the water. Ik i would have to revive it once in there. Make a video of releasing monster muskies some time I’ll check it out🤙🏼
you know walleye fisherman never think about handling species of fish they don't fish for right. im an avid musky nut and you teach people entering the sport, you dont btch other anglers out that DONT EVEN HAVE A REASON TO KNOW BETTER.
@@hotramen5952 I partly agree with you, but besides the fact it was a musky, it was also simply a big fish. Big fish no matter the species fight harder, expend more energy doing so and need more time to properly recover
I generally feel that Muskie Fishing is overrated....I prefer larger fish like Spoonbill...Alligator Gar and Giant Catfish....plus Muskies have a high mortality rate after you land them....and Muskie Fishing is very expensive for the lures and tackle....👎👎
Bruh.
