I watch all Paul Newman’s films with pleasure, but I admire his acting in only a few, particularly The Verdict, Nobody’s Fool and The Color of Money. His natural beauty and youthful demeanor illuminated the mature parts he played and made characters like Sully, Frank Galvin and Eddie even more emotionally compelling than many of his earlier roles.
"Paul Newman once called this film the worst movie of the 1950s - and he starred in it."

To me his best role was Hud by far..
Paul Newman is the only actor whom I would watch in ANY role he played. The man was magic on the screen.
He never did much for me.
The biggest nothingburger I've ever seen on the silver screen was Newman's western, "Hombre." Good God, what a dog!
I saw both in the movies & "The Silver Chalice" was worse!
I'd rate it in my top 20 westerns. To each his own.
At least he didn't proclaim, "Yondah👆 lies the castle🏰 of my foddah."
I wonder how many people, under 70, would know you were talking about Tony Curtis?
@@rongendron8705 The Black Shield of Falworth! Utter tripe but so entertaining!
I am 86 and saw the movie. I heard, "Yondah lise dah cassel of mah faddah." but I am old so what do I know?
He should apologize for "Exodus" more than this one.
I saw that movie and I enjoyed it alot🎉
I can't believe he was in a bigger stinker than Quintet.
Not sure that this film is any worse than "The Outrage"!...Just sayin'!
