    I've had one since July and I'd recommend it for sure. It's not the usual small moped style, it's taller. I left the back seat off and slid the front seat back after drilling a couple of new mounting holes. I set the max speed around 32 KPH to give me a better speed band up to 20 MPH. I usually pedal 15 MPH on the streets and 13 MPH on the trails. It hauls the pet carrier with full load just fine.

    Im binging your vids. Love seeing you get better and better at making these. Even better pacing. I love the quick cuts to examples and demos. Love b roll of the different angles as you ride.

    really good budget bike. also, it's a great platform to customize. already swapped the rear shock out with an adjustable piggyback and swapped out the front with 4 piston caliper. the seat is the only downside on this. I removed the back seat and made some mounts to slide the front seat backwards and it's much better. wish EUY just made a one piece seat instead of two. maybe if more people complain to them, they might make a one piece seat as an accessory.
    also, EUY should've lowered the pedal assist mph in 1,2,3. 1 should maybe be 5 or 8mph. 2, 10-13, and 3 should be 15+...

      Yeah I find the seat to be fine, But the 2 piece seat is a weird idea, I think they wanted the option to have a small cargo area there, But they should have made the frame a bit longer and made it a one piece seat. I believe you can change the PAS speeds in the settings menu, You could also switch to 5 or 9 PAS speeds for more control.

    Hello!
    I need your opinion today! I ordered the Ridstar Q20 1000W 48V 20AH, but I received the EUYbike S4 with a 21AH battery instead. They asked if I want to return it and get the Ridstar. You've tried both bikes, so could you please advise me quickly on what to do?

    I bought one a few months ago, and my brakes started to squeak, so I bled them and no more squeak!

    I have a step thru and would not but anything else as you get older you realize it's the best option.

      I realized it the first time I tried to get on the S4. I'm pretty good at it now, but a step thru would be easier for sure.

    I am in the market for one of these moped style ebikes. I came across your channel. Great content, you have a solid talent for doing videos. Which moped style ebike at $1,500 or less do you recommend? I am narrowed down to this EYU bike, Ridstar, or tamobyke? Thank you.

      Between the Ridstar and the S4, I personally like the Ridstar better for it's seat, Riding position, Styling, better brakes, And quiet motor. The S4 has better suspension, And can sustain its top speed longer as the battery dies. Another bike that looks good and i hope to get soon is the Amyet S8 which is a dual motor bike and costs around $1,400 shipped

    I just purchased this bike and I’m about to return it. I’m in the talks with Amazon waiting for my label to come and today I decided to take the front seat off and see if a thinner seat it would make it so that I could enjoy riding this bike I’m 5 foot seven with a short inseam. So touching ground when I’m seated in a further to the back position where it’s more comfortable, I’m tiptoed and didn’t really feel safe because as you mentioned this bike hasn’t amount of torque ( if you’re going to do a wheelie with it be wary how much it’s got because when that bike shoots up from between your feet your probably tended to spin that throttle like I did) but what I’m commenting for actually was every one of these reviews I watch when they say “you’re probably not gonna pedal much …”every bike I’ve rode if you don’t pedal the cadence sensor won’t kick in and you can’t get to the top speed with throttle only so to get the most speed And the quickest way is the throttle 10 km or 15 mph basically hold throttle for a couple seconds and then start pedalling and pedal all the way through the power band. if You pedal then you can’t get to the top speed much faster than you will on a bike that will let you get the top speed with throttle, and a bikes where you can’t get the extra speed with those where throttle cuts off at the legal limit the only way to get faster is the pedal and if you start to pedal at the high speed you get ghost peddling, so just avoid that problem you just need to pedal constantly, and use a pedal as your throttlethat’s what I’ve been doing for the last five months I’ve been writing my bikes. Cops won’t bother you cause you’re peddling Karen don’t bother you cause they see you peddling it doesn’t hurt to pedal because the cadence sensors in the motor make it so I’ll put your pedal is easy but you still get a bit of exercise I think it’s a no-brainer but hey to each his own. Happy riding folks.

    I just purchased one of these. Do you know if you can hook up a kids carrier to one of these as well? BTW the squeaky breaks I heard go away after a little while.

    Which one you prefer s4 or ridstar?

    • @ampedcycle
      @ampedcycle  3 місяці тому

      I still own these 2 bikes and I find my self wanting to get on the ridstar more than the s4. The s4 has more comfortable suspension, but I like the brakes, riding position, and style of the ridstar better.

    I’m 5’6. Never owned a moped style bike. It’s either this or the happy run g60. Which would be better for my height? Would I be on my tippy toes on this bike?
