I keep the front tire off most of the time. I'll switch the front on to accelerate faster once I'm already rolling or when I'm going up a hill. There's nothing like doing 32 mph going up a steep hill
@@Reeferjedi Single is probably most efficient. I also disabled pedal assist. It's even more efficient that way. Now I can use the throttle for a boost or to get going. Once it's rolling I can pedal it without using any power.

I'm hoping the dealer fees are low If I'm getting two wheels for transportation and for the same price I can get something that's gas powered and can go 100 mi on 1 gallon and I don't have to worry about weather... But then I have to get a motorcycle license and insurance for it... Whereas in my state I could just get on an e-bike put on a helmet and that's it... I'm really tempted with this dual motor stepped through bike because it seems So chill because you don't expect a bike with a step through design To be a dual motor monster

@alexrojas9725 My brother has a Ridstar Q20 like I mentioned before, and all I can tell you about that is what he told me about his , but the Amyet S8 is dual motors and I saw that they have a dual motor dual battery version also, but I would go with the Amyet s8 with the dual motors, I know the first version of the Q20 came out loaded with 4 piston hydraulic brakes good front shocks the whole 9, that's when he bought his, I don't know if they change some of those features when they started selling the cheaper versions.
Well the EV is only single motor and the S8 has 2 motors, So it depends what you're looking for. If you're bigger you might fit on the EV better, But you cant beat dual motor of the S8. I would get the s8 personally

All the parts on this bike are standard ebike parts, So you should be able to interchange parts. The question is would you be better off just buying an entire new ebike with the upgrades you want, VS spending all the money upgrading motors, Controllers and batteries
I bought the Amyet v9-G60. I was wrestling between this one and the cheaper single motor ebike and went with the single. It’s my city commuter! It’s still crazy fun! Kind of scary, in a good way. In the process of dealing with customer service right now though.
If it's because it's stuck at half speed, hold the right brake while turning the bike on and hold for 15 secs. You can use this process to limit or unlock the limit.
Hold down the + and - at the same time to unlock the settings. Also check the connectors on the controller box, my PAS stopped working and it was a loose connector.
@@Mackdez the bike makes some strange noises above 23mph. Everything works fine, but the motor itself is definitely not going to last. Couldn’t get in touch with any customer service help until I left a review on amazon saying I loved it but shits broken, then they finally contacted me to give me 30 bucks to take down my review…I didn’t accept their 30 dollars, and left the review up.

I achieved exactly 35 miles on mine the last time I tested it (the S8). That is mostly on the rear motor only, reasonable speeds 15-25mph, and a few fast passes full power both motors at 35mph. This was during normal commutes in town, real world riding as a street bike in the city. I sure if you ride it harder and faster, it's not going to exceed 22-24 miles like you said. It would be nice to have an extra battery to keep the backpack when riding longer distances.

Max speed is 33 at full charge. Has a stuttering issue under heavy acceleration that needs to be solved. I would like to see someone try a 48v battery on a s6 and see if the stuttering goes away.

I would say they’re both well built, I had a passenger on the S8 who is about 5 feet tall and they fit perfectly and the bike did fine, even went off road. There are foot pegs on the S8, the Q20 doesn’t come with any so your passenger wouldn’t be comfortable
Are you sure it’s aluminum? Because I just looked at the specs on Amazon and it says high carbon steel now. what’s really funny about that is I was looking at this bike a couple days ago and said it was aluminum. 🧐🤔

I have tried to look up the information on numerous platforms but can’t find a solution so I come to my UA-cam fam for help ! I have a Amyet S8 e bike had it for like a week and a half and although my bike charges perfectly fine to a hundred percent it seems that my lcd screen is not being charged to 100 percent only about 25 percent can anyone help or suggest me anything ! ? Please 😢
Same issue with my new s8, only 4 bars on full charge, only 53.4 volts as well, company is sending a new screen as it may be faulty, have been relying on green lights on the battery for a rough idea how much remains, contact customer service and request a new screen, hopefully it will be accurate.
@@LarryKastner-qs5ry I actually fixed the issue on my end it was something I changed on setting without realizing it but after doing some research and trial and error testing I’m understanding more of the functions with the P0 settings

The ridstar comes with a 30A controller, I do believe, because my brother has one, and he said he got his up to 40 mph

You can use a 52 volt battery on this bike stock, change the setting in the controller

These are hydraulic on the S8, the G60 has cable brakes, but still good so far

Im curious of the range. My G60 has never achieved 30-50miles. More like 22-24mi.
I just took the S8 26 miles on dual motor mode throttle only, And I still had at least a mile or 2 of range left

I haven’t ridden the tamobyke, but it only has 1 motor vs the S8’s 2 motors. Depends what you’re looking for because those are 2 very different bike s

You must have done something wrong because the motors are really good. They could take some abuse and do a higher voltage instead of 48 V.

I switch on the front wheel after I'm rolling so it doesn't spin. Works great that way
If you sit more in the middle of the bike there’s more weight over the front wheel and it won’t spin as much
I've put 400 miles on my S8 in 1 month. Got the V9 G60 on the way for my wife
