True. Huge sacrifice to personal lifestyle though "just" to fly aircraft like the F-15C (or E). The military is not a lifestyle for everyone, and they do grill people pretty hard in the preliminary tests and really make them prove that they want to be a pilot.
Uhhhh...did I miss something here? Prep, pre-flight brief, walk around, get in, strap in, helmet on.....helmet off, climb out? I may not be a pilot, but isn't "flying" part of the job description?
