I've played one of the sg clones. It was a great feeling guitar. I would personally change the pickups and knobs, but for the price including those mods it is still a decent price for what you get.

arnevdns 60 beats per minute would be one beat per second, so as long as your song has a tempo faster than that and uses primarily quarter notes or shorter, you will have more notes than seconds. By quite a large margin usually.
Justin Brantley Bpm has nothing to do with the number of notes played, you can play just 3 notes at 240 bpm for 3 minutes and make it a song

I didn't know the guy but I was really impressed by his usage of tremolo picking, especially where he trem picks while bending. On paper it doesn't musical sense as you're hitting out of tune notes but it sounds fucking amazing. That was a nice fingerpicking part too.

I remember first seeing this after watching Davie and his videos and just being stricken with awe at how cool guitar is and how I thought it was impossible to get to these levels of playing. All of you guys and Davie and others in my life, like my parents, are the reason I’m in love with metal and music and bass and guitar. Thank you Jared and all of you!

They have an incredible marketing concept which has gotten them way more exposure than their sales figures probably deserve. They've sold way fewer guitars than you probably think they have, and have essentially zero market share outside of the US/UK. They're the biggest brand on UA-cam because Chappers knows his stuff and sends them to everyone. But have you ever seen someone famous playing one not on UA-cam? exactly.

ILikeFood have to disagree. cole was very clean and fast, with the dragonforce style, but his phrasing was only okay and it was a lot of repeating "look how fast i can play" licks.
Jack Dauley that may be true. but he's still the best for me mainly cuz the way his solo matched up to the main rhythm was beautifully done. and let's not forget that beginning whammy, it had me hooked
Rabea is simply incredible. Probably the single greatest upcoming talent in guitar right now. His solo in Dorje's White Dove is one of the best I've ever heard. Oh, and he's a pretty decent drummer.
