This is such a good interview!!!! I always thought Cuba, to me.... was always doing a lot in interviews for "entertainment purposes" so to see him really go into depth about this OJ character and how it affected him was literally very profound. I always say he's among the greats that they never give his due so salute to him.

Cuba nailed the essence of OJ driven by the most important impediment that afflicts many superstars. Skipping the stage in life that involves emotional maturity, empathetic development and social awareness. OJ was childlike and Cuba brings out that element that over the years people have failed to see. Children tend to be pampered, indulged, tolerated and given anything they want without having to earn it, it's just as Cuba surmised because of OJ's great talent and charisma he never grew out of that child like state of mind thanks to his entourage.

LMAO @ 9:20 when he grabs the Henny bottle! that would have been perfect if he really took a drink of it. he's an actor by nature. his story really lead to a "cue the henny bottle" moment lol. but that's super awkward that his life was similar to Oj's in that moment. . . Just don't murder your wife Cuba!!

I can't imagine playing OJ. Acting is personally not my thing, but having stumbled upon a role once that a small-time director wanted me to perform that involved choking a woman to death really messed with my head. Embodying a character pulls a number on you. So I get it. There's a good reason why top-tier actors get lost.... Cheers to Cuba Gooding Jr for keeping it together. Love this man's work.

I know Cuba from Malibu clubs. One night he busted out a James Brown song during karaoke. He is as good or better than James Brown. I told him he should purse it as a career. He could play James Brown like Jamie Foxx played Ray Charles. I can't overemphasized how super stunning he is as a singer.

IDGAF about saying I cried when I heard the not guilty verdict in the O.J. Simpson case, because., as Cuba pointed out, a woman and a man were brutally murdered and people didn't stop to consider the humanity of the victims or the suffering of their families. Anyway, I look forward to seeing American Crime Story to see how it compares to having watched it unfold back in the day.
