I would’ve loved to hear more stories from Grandma about her upbringing during WWII!
Right? I was thinking the same thing.
Totally!
Totally!
Please interview your grandmother. That would be so interesting.
Sometimes the algorithm works. Just found you... and agreeing with others, I would love to see and can't stress how important an interview with your grandmother is. I think we are loosing so much as that generation leaves us. They have a wisdom and perspective that is being lost to time.
Your grandma's history during WWII !!! Wow!!! God bless her
Grandma looks fantastic. Love her
Hey welcome back to Canada. Looking like an angel
Glory you are an amazing young woman! I’m sure your parents are very proud of you, as you should be very proud of your parents for raising such an amazing young woman🥰
Nice visit with family.
Your grandma is precious! It’s lovely to see you back in Canada 🇨🇦 🍁 with your family Glory.
You’re one of my favorite vloggers.
Have a wonderful weekend sweet girl.
💖🌷
Glad you are back…. Missed you!
These calm and slow vlogs with your way of portraying them are amazing.
Nice! I went to school in Strafford, Missouri. Better pay attention when driving or you'll miss it. You'll drive right through it & not even know it... lol...
Hug your granny as much as you can now. You'll blink & they are no longer with us.
Yes, I loved listening to my granny & Pa since they were born in 1912 & 1919. Lost Pa in 1992 & granny in 2011. I sure miss them so much now. I lost my Mother a year ago in 2023. I really miss her. She was my best friend.
Loved the video. Have a wonderful day & God bless.
Chris from Missouri
Welcome back girrrrrrlllll, we missed you!
No, our $5 bill doesn't have a scratch-n-sniff that smells like maple syrup. You've been lied to.
Your hair looks great! Thank you for bringing us along. I think you have a deeper understanding of life than most people your age❤️
I grew up in Southeastern Michigan on a lake, but spent a lot of time in Canada.
Many of my ancestors came to Canada from England and Ireland and later moved to the USA into Minnesota and Michigan.
We have an affinity for Canada.
It's a beautiful place and the people are generally wonderful.
Love the video. You should do more Canadian trip videos
wow, 91 ...really? she looks young and beautiful, energetic, fun, you have some good genes, Glory! your mom is also very yung looking, as are you. all beautiful!
Fabulous aunt Gloria, keep up the fantastic work 👍
THANK YOU THANK YOU, THANK YOU
Hey there Glory! And a MASSIVE thank you for the lovely postcard you sent me and Michele... it was sitting here at home for us after we just got back from touring Scotland and a close friend's daughter's wedding in Edinburgh ❤.
What an amazing young lady you are, taking precious time out to drop us a card amongst your busy (and ever fantastically varied) life.
Paulmann, I got a postcard from Glory too! Who does that, especially in her generation?! I have faith in the future with people like Glory around.
Awesome video.. My maternal grandfather was from the Netherlands also. He came to Canada in 1949 when he was like 11 years old. He was born in a small village called Kornhorn.
I want Grandma stories! She is so sweet!
It's the $100 bill that scratch and sniffs maple syrup. Great video Glory!
I think it's super cool that you're a fellow Christian ~!
Your grandmother is beautiful!
Nice😊....please get your grandmother to tell a story or two xlove this vlog 😊
So your kinda Dutch then! Love Grandma cam. Need more!!
We missed you Glory.
That pie looks good! 😋
I would love to hear about your grandmother's stories ❤❤❤ also weird... I thought when you said you lived in Canada... it was B.C, or Toronto.... literally your old home town is 45min awy from me. But I love that town, it's super cute and honestly I would say best baked goods!❤❤❤❤ so that's so funny!!!🎉
so your grandma is dutch? I am from the Netherlands so dutch. i love to listen to her stories.
Amazing Glory. Swing through Vancouver if you get some time!
For some reason I thought you were from Brampton! Stratford is so beautiful!
Nice seeing Canada and meeting some of your family.
You left Hawaii for good? Love seeing your Canadian home town and family❤️🇨🇦 My father was born in Canada, but grew up in the US - Western NY state. Would love to hear some stories from your grandmother!😊❤️🇺🇸
Another great video, Glory. You're such an excellent storyteller. Btw, the pie looked delicious!
Our Australian dollars are the same. Bright and colourful with awesome designs and plastic too so they never get destroyed. Go the Commonwealth ha! 😆
Wow, you're a 20 something with a 91-year Grandma and I'm 40 with a 90-year Grandma. They sure made em tough back then! Your entire family is just gorgeous. Such beautiful and kind people, it seems ☺
Very enjoyable...such a wholesome video!
Hey Glory. Go tell your parents they've done an incredible job bringing up such a delightful daughter.
Live it well!
Loved mtg your Grandma,,,Make sure you record her experiences as when u get older you will wish you had. Appreciate your visit to Canada and your faith & Mennonite pie making. 🇨🇦 ❤
St Jacob's Market! Best Farmer's Market around! Hope you got some Apple Fritters! 😁Glad you got to come home! 💜
I'd second that!
Excellent vlog!
I agree with Keith and Renee--Interview Grandma and share it! We share a Dutch heritage; my dad came to the USA from the Netherlands (near Rotterdam) in 1948 when he was 12. The war occupation was very hard on his family, and the USA was a new beginning just as I envision Canada was for Grandma. I grew up in many ways similar to you Glory. It's fun to relive my own family times through yours, and even the Great Lakes are missed now--I swam in Lake Michigan instead of Lakes Erie, Huron, or Ontario, but the beaches and freshwater seas are all special!
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find a way to get a Beavertail pastry. I wonder if they ship??? Edit: Sadly, not to my location. I will have to look for them next time I am in Canada!
Just saw Zahara vid. That fam really likes you B CUS you were mentioned 💯
Next time you make Rhubarb pie add finely sliced Strawberries. Sweet and sour, you can make jam with the same ingredients, 50/50
I miss picking rhubarb from my grandmothers yard in Minnesota and rhubarb pie that she would make😊
Your vlogs are so inspiring! Looking forward to more : )
We really do need to hear more from your grandma
She has stories for sure.
Our Australian dollar notes are exactly the same, Glorz.
I think someone was pulling your leg with the ole scratch & sniff.
You’ve got older siblings haven’t you… LOL they got you & good one there, Luv.
That pie looked incredible, but I have to say no to rhubarb.
Make us an apple pie & I’ll be right over. 🏃♀️
I love the style of this video
Great Vlog Glory keep up the great work Mee Dear 😎
Nice to see you back, have you left Hawaii
for good now ready to move onto your next adventure?
It's always nice to go home to your roots.
Interesting that the Canadian 🇨🇦 Dollars & the
New Zealand 🇳🇿 Dollars are almost identical
and in the same colours for each denomination too,
- I think Australia dollar notes are the same also.
This video was too short for the whole week.
It would've been nice to see some of your
old haunts that surrounded you as you grew up too,
and maybe some of those Grandmother stories.
I do have to agree with you Rhubarb & Apple Pie
is divine. 💟We're looking forward to your next upload.
Take care out there Glory. Have fun & Stay safe.
Cheers from 🇳🇿 😎M.
I'm going to order brand new Canadian paper money so I can see if it's really a scratch & sniff.
AND LET ME KNOW HOW THAT GOES!
So there Glory Story :) whats actually in that pie ? that looks quite good re ingredients and hows it made... & yes your grandma looks like she has a few stories that need tellling
NZ money looks very similar with clear panels, colour, portraits etc. 😁
now I want to make a pie 🤣
Mennonites is very similar to the beginning of evangelical life style. They came to USA for religious freedom. Many went to Canada too. My dad’s generation started the contemporary music in church. Instead of hymns. But … my generation make evangelical church service like a concert. How does your sister in law think ?
Would LOVE to hear an update on your visa problems, have they been resolved that made you leave the boat before the Atlantic crossing!
Stratford area, as she shows the St Jacobs Farmers Market hahaha (Kitchener resident here)
we used to make those cinnamon things but we called them elephant ears. they are sooooooo good
Stratford! No way! I'm from Waterloo, but now in Ottawa.
Your notes are like the same as Australia… without the scratch and sniff
Amish = fantastic food 😍
Oh MY! Would not your dear Dutch Grandma freak out that you dropped over 7 dollars for a 6 ounce, iced bevy? (We older Dutch, northern province types are usually too tight with our money 🙃.)
Hey Glory. Fellow Canadian here, coming to you with a warning. The external SanDisk hard drives you are using. There was a bug reported not that long ago and you need to check if the firmware has been updated on them. It’s very important that you check it out as you can loose all of your data!!! PS. Tim Horton’s not good…. There I said it!!! Haha
I miss bills being different colors. I was stationed in Germany in the 80s and their bills were different colors and slightly different sizes.
9:50
Press pause.
This is a beautiful woman.
NZ money is same as Canadian money. I love our notes
I want a remote boat. 😂
I so want a beavertail now!
So, what does a Beavertail taste like?? Crispy? Soft? Like a crispy soft pancake with cinnamon sugar?🫠🤤😛😋
Now I'm hungry.😁
Canadians are American too....Canada is in America, the American continent.....it should be Gringos
Australian money looks similar like Canadian. 😊
I was in Canada west coast to newfoundland for 3 months and could not figure out the draw to tim hortons... lol.
❤❤
your canadian money looks very very similar to south african money. very pretty. aktually a bunch of countries have bills in differnet colors for example also the euro in europe
Cool 😎
What happened to the end?
Tim Horton's never impressed me much. But, I'm not Canadian either.
Were you allowed to leave US for your visa app??
Tim Horton’s is not what it used to be
Wait you're also from the Netherlands?
👍
The classic cinnamon sugar beaver tail CAN NEVER BE BEAT!!

Boom. Evangelicals with Mercedes. And in Canada. Where so many taxes. Wowsie . Your mom must make good money as a speaker and author in the holy roller world
It was a rental car….
Did you see the oldddd sedans they were driving in the last videos?
Kansas I don’t believe you Dorothy.
Broskii
Where have you been you can't just take time off leaving work no videos 🤳, i dodn't care if your just eating your Cheerios 🍜 make a video🎉🎉🎉🎉 🇺🇲
The reason Australia, Canada, New Zealand and many other countries notes have a similar look and feel is that they are all using technologies to make and print "plastic" polymer notes developed in Australia in 1988 to replace paper notes. They last longer, can survive the washing machine if left in a pocket, don't tear easily, hard to scrunch up and very hard, practically impossible to counterfeit. Pretty too.
Ill do anything for a timbit. Yes pulease
