In my experience, the hunching thing has been because we're all so freaking tired at the end of the combination/variation that we're desperate to relax the intense body control we've been holding. It's probably humility for some dancers, but I've seen tired far more often.

Im happy to see them able to be in control of their career now. So many older generations and those with less training did not have the luxury. 😢

@@carles03 as a dancer (and maybe u r too), this is very impressive and takes lots of strength to do so! i have been dancing for some time and its really hard, and the way she dances so elegantly is nice too! you can tell that shes trying to keep up with the music, shes not deaf. and if the coach doesnt like it, the coach would definitely correct her! maybe they are also in awe of the amazing talent. Anyway,I, and many other people are amazed by her talent!

It's hard for a musician to watch someone dance with utter disregard for the music and the partnership with it. Yeah, lovely, even remarkable control, etc but but it's more about showing off than performing a dance to a specific piece rather than true choreography, leave out the music just do some unstructured contemporary piece.

There is. It’s simple: do only as many clean and tight pirouettes as will actually fit within the phrase. Save the nine slow pirouettes for a different variation.
That segment would usually put in 2 to 4 pirouettes for most dancers. In real performance, beyond that is just frantic and gets you out of music. But...no harm in messing around sometimes!
Once, a ballerina in my class was scolded for doing more spins than the tempo of the music allows. The teacher said that being a good dancer is not about how many pirouettes you can do, but how you can keep time with the music better.
I've read a lot of comments regarding this topic, and I have to say, as one who got free lessons because my teacher thought I was so uncanny and a singer and dancer like me came along once in a lifetime, dancers do that. Professional dancers aren't quite in sync (No pun intended) all the time. They are still in tune and believe me, it's not like singing a song in the wrong key. For me, this topic by the commenters here are kinda ignorant. No offense. Plus, this wasn't a show in an opera house somewhere.

Wonderful! So precise. I danced en Pointe for 13 years, danced a total of 18 years. I never became close to being so precise and capable. Obviously I never made it professionally, but it was still so joyous and fulfilling. I got out before my feet were destroyed long-term, bur just barely. I appreciate seeing the talented pros so very much, and I feel such love and encouragement for them. I especially love and appreciate those who do and have what I can't. It's as if they are able to fulfill my dreams as well as theirs❤.
I LOVE how at the very end, she's pulling off pirouettes like she isn't even TRYING to pull them off anymore. Pirouettes are just happening, regardless of whether she wants them to or not. LOL...LMAO.....
