The Three Stooges IN COLOR (1965) - PART ONE

- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- In 1965, The Three Stooges - Moe Howard, Larry Fine, and Joe DeRita (as "Curly-Joe") - performed live-action segments (filmed in COLOR) to introduce (and outro) Three Stooges cartoons for what was known as "The New 3 Stooges" TV series.
They filmed a total of 40 of these "wraparound" segments for the series. This video presents 13 of those 40 segments (for a total of about 36 minutes worth). I cut out the cartoons; I included only the live-action segments.
By 1965, many of the country's school PTA's had already complained about the violence of the original black-and-white Stooges' short films.
So these segments from the 1965 show were quite a bit tamer than what fans were used to. Plus Larry's motor skills had become somewhat sluggish by this time in his life, so you'll hear some occasional slurring when Larry speaks.
Certainly some funny lines, though, including Curly-Joe making fun of Moe's "Beatle haircut"!
Here's PART TWO: • THE THREE STOOGES IN C...
Here's PART THREE: • THREE STOOGES IN COLOR...
Enjoy!

Even Though Curly and Shemp were Gone and Moe and Larry were getting Old, They still Kept Going Till The day They Died, that takes Talent.
But they are still funny I know shemp and curly are moe bothers

4:22. A couple of frog's legs dipped in chocolate syrup? Yuck. Moe's stomach must be made of scrap iron.
sorry to be off topic but does any of you know a method to log back into an instagram account?
I stupidly lost the password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me

It looks different to me seeing the Three Stooges in a time setting with automobiles built in the early and mid 1960s.
When I was growing up, I had always been accustom to seeing them in a time era when the automobiles from the 1930s and 1940s were still on the road.
Shemp died in 1955 and Curly died in 1952.
Love the three stooges. This is a funny bunch of shorts, but the originals are so awesome and funny.
Boy do I miss those guys, I grew up watching them on TV. I was born in the early 2000’s but I remember when I was little watch these episodes on my grandparents VCR
Same bro!
I’m with you, man. I was born in the mid 90s and grew up watching these guys. I had a VHS tape that had one episode with Curly and three with Shemp in their original format. I also still have the DVDs with these Curly Joe bits from when I was five.
0:34 kitchen supplies and furniture are really improving in the 60s compared to the furniture in all the earlier shorts in the 30s 40s and maybe even the 50s
Quick Behind The Scenes Fact: Curly Joe got mad when Emil Sitka slapped him in the restaurant one. So when it came the the cake scene, Emil knew that Curly was going to make the hit hurt, and it did. Curly was happy to have got payback. You can know more from an interview with Emil Sitka from 1982.
My point of view: in the 1975 when moe, Sitka, and Curly Joe were getting ready to do the small roles in the movie "blazing stewardesses", Sitka was going to be the stooge name "Harry sitka" (Larry's brother depiction), and even though we don't see them filmed in the movie because moe passed away in May of 75 because of lung cancer, in this 16:23 part, at least you can see what they look like without Larry
Love the Stooges...🌺💖💖💖💖
I would never thought 💭 that you would like these guys are you still a kid at heart 💜
15:00 "You, with the Beatle haircut." LOL
Captain Look Pissed 5:30

7:56 Long-time Stooge supporting actor Emil Sitka to the rescue!
Typical of Moe. He blamed Curly Joe for losing the sweepstakes ticket he had in his pocket the whole time.
Well just like curly and shemp
Curly joe was okay. But don’t match Curly and Shemp’s comic genius.

Was this a tv show that never aired?
It was part of the cartoon show that did air. The stooges did these cameo appearances between the cartoons. As a 5 year old i wanted more of them and less of the cartoons. Couldn't get enough of Larry, Moe and Curly Joe.
Harry Fox I would’ve been 9-10 yo in ‘65 but I don’t remember it

Even the people at the beach spectating this mess knew it wasn't funny
Poor material, poor execution, poor stooges!
They were past their prime and with scrubs as replacements for legends like Curly and Shemp.
@@marioguti9887 I once read an interview with an actress who worked on one of the Stooges' 60's films..she said Joe DeRita was a nice man,but he smelled bad....
@@michaelmakes4883 Poor fella even LOOKS like he smells bad, lol
@@marioguti9887I agree. They were past their prime. The golden classical era of the 3 stooges was from 1932 to 1946. Of course we all know what happened in 1946. Curly never able to return.
