Adopting an older animal is very rewarding, it sucks when they pass, but they’re very loving and grateful. I adopted Cole, an elderly cat who was 16, lived to 17.5, he was super sweet, loved hugs, being picked up like a baby, would sleep on my chest, if he couldn’t sleep on my chest then he’d sleep on top of my head, would sit next to me everywhere in the house and was a lovely old mannie. He could also run around the house super fast playing with toys, regularly got woken up at like 0300 as he was chasing toys in the living room. Very rewarding caring for older animals, so if you’re looking to adopt I’d recommend getting an adult pet, they’ll love you like nothing else in the world and I promise you’ll dearly love your friend!
