@@antownemercer7552 It is a heavy bike but once your moving handles pretty good., you need to learn how to manage first gear., basically first gear is just to start moving and the second gear is the one to get you up to speed. when i make a full stop in traffic lights or stop signs, I stop in second gear then put it on neutral. Great Review. I Was hesitant to buy this bike, because I thought it may be too heavy for me. You sold me. I am buying mine Fourth of July 2025. THANKS AGAIN!
Really nice. I like that a lot, and I think for an older guy like me (72) who no longer can feel comfortable on a sport touring bike because of the bend in the legs, that M109R could be perfect.
I went with this Bike! I'm 50yrs old. It rides amazing and has all the giddy up, anyone would ever need. Took me a little bit figuring out how to turn it when going slow. The forward pegs make it a little different turning the monster. But once you ride it for awhile. It comes naturally, throwing your weight into it. It's fun it's big, and it will blow most sports bikes away!
i had an m109r for 3 years, i can confirm the power of these things is mind boggling , the torque is brutal, it was a lot of fun in the wet when peeling off from a set of lights, a tiny twist of the throttle set the rear wheel spinning and you can snake away completely controllable, i'm only 75 kg and when i first rode it, it felt strange to shift direction due to the width of the rear tyre, but, when i got used to it, it handled really well and was very easy to ride, i traded it for a GSXR1000 which i loved, but, i missed the torque of the 109, then i bought a Triumph Speed Triple in 2001 which is the most fun bike i've ever owned, ( apart from my cr125r ) the Triumph has plenty of everything,
Rode one from a friend, make no mistake, it is essentially a sportsbike that looks like a cruiser. You twist the right hand and it will leave behind all those legends that shake when you corner at 70+ mph. This tank will take you pretty far if you just enjoy the inertia of this huge engine. Comfort-wise it is crap like pretty much any cruiser with forward controls, so avoid bumpy roads or your lower back will be busted. Of course you can travel with this thing, just strap a backpack to the passenger seat or buy a bagger instead of spoiling it with a lame barbecue grill or saddlebags. Don't drop it, I checked the parts that normally break and they are not cheap.
I demo’d this bike at my local bike week a few weeks ago. I was absolutely impressed with this bike! The ride and performance was amazing. I think I had it up to 60+ mph in 1st, no problem. This is a bike to buy.
I just bought this Bike. It's an absolute Horse! It's big and it's fast. Takes a little figuring out in the tight corners. But once you figure it out, your good to go. It rides amazing, wind doesn't Bother it. Glad I went with this, rather than the Honda Rebel I was looking at. You will either love it or hate it. I love it!
Got my second one last year after a Mazda 3 decided to play dodgem cars with my 2010 model. Mine has upgraded air filter, exhaust and dyno tune which added an extra 10 hp and ft/lbs, with 100ft/lbs from idle making more than enough power for anything close to legal speeds. Along with the Japanese reliability, it annoys my HD mates how much attention it gets whenever stopped somewhere.
Thanks for watching! What a great bike. I have to be honest, I've seen it online and just kind of glanced past it, but WOW, what a stunning bike in person, and what a powerhouse! Enjoy it!

It's tough for me to recommend a bike for someone just based on a UA-cam comment. You mentioned several bikes that you've tried but they each have a reason that you don't like them. I would say come up with a list of things that you want on a bike, and narrow the list down by cutting off things you don't need. No matter who you are, whether you're a new rider or an experienced veteran, choosing a motorcycle is going to be a compromise. So it sounds like you're looking at a lot of bikes. I have a 2018 - love the bike, but the gages are stupid.
Too bad this bike has not advanced at all the pass view years.
I'm guessing that emissions regulations will prevent Suzuki from investing much more money into this bike. The fact that it still exists today is impressive. If you like a bike like this, grab it today. Don't expect a next generation.
Fast but it’s a tank 😬
Super cool though!
That's why I love it! It just sits on the road...
Are there any small to medium size bags available for this?
