Love these guys. Best a cappella group out there, I think. They have a very deep and varied catalog. Everything from country to R&B to pop to rock to sacred, even a little opera from the 2 tenors. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. Home Free is so talented. They can all beatbox to a degree but Adam (back right) is extraordinary. He was doing drums, harmonica and other sounds but Chance, back left, was doing the jaw harp sound. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and also sing high (kid you not). All of them sing lead depending on the song and they also sing all genres of music. Love them! I've been watching you guy since I'm a "Renagade" but before that I was a "HomeFry"! Home Free will always Amaze, Surprise and Entertain!! They don't do any "Metal" covers as far as I know. They won't ever let you down on the classic rock, country, pop songs that they upgrade in the way only "Home Free" can do. Hope to see more! VoicePlay is considered the theater kids of a cappella, dressing up in costume and makeup and acting out the songs. Run through the songs in The Nightmare Before Christmas for 4 or 5 performed by VoicePlay plus Jack's Lament done by their bass singer Geoff Castellucci. To the confusion of many his name is pronounced Jeff and he's done several video playing off that. The Elvis cover Way Down, Ghost Riders in the Sky and its prequel Unskaken (from a video game) are good examples of that. Those three groups are all friends and sometimes work together. There is a wonderful 4th group called The Bass Gang (see their video Gaston) and a solo/duo singer Peter Hollens (see I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For feat. Home Free and keep watching after the song).

Sea Shanty Medley is amazing! It was filmed live in December of 2022. It was my granddaughter's Christmas present. Home Free is the only a capella country group. They have a huge catalog. They won the Sing Off in 2014. Plus,we are diehard loyal fans and there are alot of us! Loved the surprised look on your faces.

If you go down the Home Free rabbit hole, and it's deeeeep with around 200 videos with 1 or 2 new being released every month, you'll get swarms of Home Fries, the Home Free fans, coming your way. They will keep having you amazed with whichever song you go with, to the point where you think they can no longer amaze you, and then they'll amaze you again. They are countey, but they do many genres. They are hilariously funny and don't take themselves too seriously but they are also caring, loving and warm, and different sides of them come out in different songs and videos. They are very versatile and you can't always know beforehand who's going to do which part. The bass can sing as high as the tenor and the baritone can go down in the basement and up on the top floor too, but perhaps not all the way up to the attic.
There are beat boxers, then there are good beat boxers, then pro beat boxers, then world class beat boxers. Ahead of them all by a dozen light years is Adam Rupp. and by the way Adam Rupp the beat boxer can sing just as good as all the others in Home Free. so he is not just a beat boxer.

Actually the Drum Solo is a concert staple so there are several versions of that piece beginning in 2015 or 16 up to 2023 or 24. Many are filmed and posted by audience members since Home Free doesn't usually copyright.
While many heard this song in the movie y'all mentioned, it is actually a very old American Folk Song. Though published in 1913 by Dick Burnett, it was old when published - he just put it to paper - which then enabled him to earn from its use. Prior to that it was learned "by ear" having originated in & around Kentucky, Tennessee and thereabouts. Favorites are Blue Ain't Your Color, In The Blood, Sea Shanty Medley live, Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget and Full Of Cheer should give you a boost.
This video is older. For something more recent, I recommend Vincent which was just released a week ago or Stand By Me which was released last fall. On their album So Long Dixie, 10 of the 12 tracks are originals, including the title track (Adam's nomonica is heard again). Great reaction. I definitely want to see more.
You have just entered the rabbit hole of Home Free! Those of us that follow them are called Home Fries. The more you watch of them, the more you will be blown away at what they can do. They've done collaborations with Don McLean (twice), Kenny Rogers (before he passed), performed with Avi from Pentatonix, etc., etc. They always make the songs their own but still stay true to the music. You can't go wrong listening to these 5 crazy and amazing gentlemen.
The song was originally published in 1913 and later covered by Bob Dylan & Joan Baez among others. Home Free is entirely acapella - there are no instruments. Their singing & harmonies are impeccable & their beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is incomparable. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. Dive down the rabbit hole!
Home free are great! They achieved the unthinkable with me. I’m a Scottish gal living in Australia about as far removed from country music as you can get (I think the only “country” song I ever liked was Steps- 5.6.7.8 way back in the 90’s as a literal child) but hell Home free made me start to really like country music, they pulled me in and now I want cowboy boots and a country man hahah . If you want another cover version of this song you should check out Geoff Castellucci’s cover. He is the bass singer from another acapella group called Voiceplay. They’re buddies with Home Free and appeared on the same season of The sing off. They are have a less country slightly more varied genres- 80’s rock (dream on, in the air tonight), Metallica, theatre songs, Disney etc.

Love Home Free and bass Tim Foust. You should check out their good friends from The Sing-Off VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACapella. They lean to the theatrical and cover everything from Metallica to Disney. Their bass Geoff Castellucci is also amazing and good buds with Tim.
Their beatboxer Adam Rupp is doing the nomonica and the drum sounds.. The jaw harp is coming from Adam Chance, the one in the black vest. A staple of every Home Free concert is the Ruppster's Drum Solo. Since it's live and has been done for years there are several slightly different versions on youtube, so check out the original video (he's in the red plaid shirt) then the more recent ones (dated 2021 to 2023) with the looping station. They did a video for Dolly Parton's 9 to 5, then a live in concert version called 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown where all 5 of them beatbox. I'd also recommend their video for the song Brother. The song is serious and heartfelt, the video is fall out of your set laughing funny. (The warrior woman is Austin girlfriend, now wife.) I'll also recommend a non-singing bit they used to do when Chris was still with them called Story Time with Tim. A great original song the Bass (Tim Foust) wrote is "Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget)". I think this song will be right up your alley. They also have great covers of some classic songs "Love Train" by the O'Jays, "End of the Road" by Boyz 2 Men, "All About that Bass" by Meghan Trainor, "Brothers In Arms" by Dire Straights, "Friends in Low Places" by Garth Brooks, and especially "Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill. The most mind blowing cover of the group is "Mayday" by Cam, however you HAVE to watch at least a dozen other songs from Home Free to get the full appreciation of that song.

The O Brother version was also a cover, the song was actually first published around 1913, but is older than that. The O Brother song was performed by Dan Timynski from Union Station, Alison Krause’ band.
Oh, and Adam, the beatboxer....he's got a great tenor voice (,although he prefers not to sing) and hes a really good dancer. Plays the most instruments as well.

Home free is my favourite cos they are so versatile. They'll have you crying with laughter, Butts Medley, or crying with beautiful music, Go Rest High on that Mountain, and just this week Vincent with Don McClean.
Home Free is so talented. They can all beatbox to a degree but Adam (back right) is extraordinary. He was doing drums, harmonica and other sounds but Chance, back left, was doing the jaw harp sound. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and also sing high (kid you not). All of them sing lead depending on the song and they also sing all genres of music. Love them! Good reaction boys!😍😄

@@TheWholeAzzShow The top three a cappella groups are Pentatonix, Home Free, and VoicePlay. VoicePlay is considered the theater kids of a cappella, dressing up in costume and makeup and acting out the songs. Run through the songs in The Nightmare Before Christmas for 4 or 5 performed by VoicePlay plus Jack's Lament done by their bass singer Geoff Castellucci. To the confusion of many his name is pronounced Jeff and he's done several video playing off that. The Elvis cover Way Down, Ghost Riders in the Sky and its prequel Unskaken (from a video game) are good examples of that. Those three groups are all friends and sometimes work together. There is a wonderful 4th group called The Bass Gang (see their video Gaston) and a solo/duo singer Peter Hollens (see I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For feat. Home Free and keep watching after the song).

This is one of the most popular Home Free songs. It was the first song I ever heard from Home Free & I was instantly hooked. It really showcases the talent of these 5 men (their tight harmonies, Tim Foust's bass & Adam Rupp's incredible beatboxing). They are my favorite a cappella group. Sea Shanty Medley is amazing! It was filmed live in December of 2022. It was my granddaughter's Christmas present. Home Free is the only a capella country group. They have a huge catalog. They won the Sing Off in 2014. Plus,we are diehard loyal fans and there are alot of us! Loved the surprised look on your faces.

If you go down the Home Free rabbit hole, and it's deeeeep with around 200 videos with 1 or 2 new being released every month, you'll get swarms of Home Fries, the Home Free fans, coming your way.
They will keep having you amazed with whichever song you go with, to the point where you think they can no longer amaze you, and then they'll amaze you again. They are countey, but they do many genres. They are hilariously funny and don't take themselves too seriously but they are also caring, loving and warm, and different sides of them come out in different songs and videos. They are very versatile and you can't always know beforehand who's going to do which part. The bass can sing as high as the tenor and the baritone can go down in the basement and up on the top floor too, but perhaps not all the way up to the attic.
There are beat boxers, then there are good beat boxers, then pro beat boxers, then world class beat boxers. Ahead of them all by a dozen light years is Adam Rupp. and by the way Adam Rupp the beat boxer can sing just as good as all the others in Home Free. so he is not just a beat boxer.

Actually the Drum Solo is a concert staple so there are several versions of that piece beginning in 2015 or 16 up to 2023 or 24. Many are filmed and posted by audience members since Home Free doesn't usually copyright.
While many heard this song in the movie y'all mentioned, it is actually a very old American Folk Song. Though published in 1913 by Dick Burnett, it was old when published - he just put it to paper - which then enabled him to earn from its use. Prior to that it was learned "by ear" having originated in & around Kentucky, Tennessee and thereabouts.
Favorites are Blue Ain't Your Color, In The Blood, Sea Shanty Medley live, Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget and Full Of Cheer should give you a boost.

This video is older. For something more recent, I recommend Vincent which was just released a week ago or Stand By Me which was released last fall. On their album So Long Dixie, 10 of the 12 tracks are originals, including the title track (Adam's nomonica is heard again). Great reaction. I definitely want to see more.
You have just entered the rabbit hole of Home Free! Those of us that follow them are called Home Fries. The more you watch of them, the more you will be blown away at what they can do. They've done collaborations with Don McLean (twice), Kenny Rogers (before he passed), performed with Avi from Pentatonix, etc., etc. They always make the songs their own but still stay true to the music. You can't go wrong listening to these 5 crazy and amazing gentlemen.
The song was originally published in 1913 and later covered by Bob Dylan & Joan Baez among others. Home Free is entirely acapella - there are no instruments. Their singing & harmonies are impeccable & their beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is incomparable. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. Dive down the rabbit hole!

Home free are great! They achieved the unthinkable with me. I’m a Scottish gal living in Australia about as far removed from country music as you can get (I think the only “country” song I ever liked was Steps- 5.6.7.8 way back in the 90’s as a literal child) but hell Home free made me start to really like country music, they pulled me in and now I want cowboy boots and a country man hahah .
If you want another cover version of this song you should check out Geoff Castellucci’s cover. He is the bass singer from another acapella group called Voiceplay. They’re buddies with Home Free and appeared on the same season of The sing off.
They are have a less country slightly more varied genres- 80’s rock (dream on, in the air tonight), Metallica, theatre songs, Disney etc.

In this song they used loopers. They record the jaw harp sound plus the dum dum do sound.. so they can sing other stuff all while the recorded stuff keeps playing.
Love Home Free and bass Tim Foust. You should check out their good friends from The Sing-Off VoicePlay #TheatreKidsOfACapella. They lean to the theatrical and cover everything from Metallica to Disney. Their bass Geoff Castellucci is also amazing and good buds with Tim.
Their beatboxer Adam Rupp is doing the nomonica and the drum sounds.. The jaw harp is coming from Adam Chance, the one in the black vest. A staple of every Home Free concert is the Ruppster's Drum Solo. Since it's live and has been done for years there are several slightly different versions on youtube, so check out the original video (he's in the red plaid shirt) then the more recent ones (dated 2021 to 2023) with the looping station. They did a video for Dolly Parton's 9 to 5, then a live in concert version called 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown where all 5 of them beatbox. I'd also recommend their video for the song Brother. The song is serious and heartfelt, the video is fall out of your set laughing funny. (The warrior woman is Austin girlfriend, now wife.) I'll also recommend a non-singing bit they used to do when Chris was still with them called Story Time with Tim. Three of my favorites are titled Home Free Story Time with Tim Dayton, Ohio 10-1-15, Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae) Home Free, and Home Free Vocal Band - Story Time with Tim. Hope you enjoy these.

Home Free is the best! They do a huge variety of music and each have a very impressive vocal range. They will make you dance , cry and fall out of your seat laughing. They have great personalities and sense of humor and are genuinely good people. Tim, the bass, has a 5+ octave range and Adam, the beatboxer, can't be beat. A great original song the Bass (Tim Foust) wrote is "Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget)". I think this song will be right up your alley.

The "bass player" is usually Tim, the bass, but not always. If Tim is doing the lead, then Chance is probably doing the bass. Oh, and, uh, the two tenors are mighty fine at opera, too. (not kidding, not even a bit) If you like unworldly harmony, listen to their cover of Helplessly Hoping, by Crosby, Stills & Nash. They goof around, too. Watch the Butts Medley. you like the nomonica by Adam Rupp? its not hard rock but they did a cover of "Working for a Liven" and once again Adam Rupp pulls off the nomonica solo in that song as well. Home free is independent so they are able to cross over and preform many different generas of music. one song that showcase's their versality is "Butts Melody." aka "Butts remix".
Jaw harp wasn't done by the beat boxer, it was done by their baritone/bass.
The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.
