This wasn't Tech learning about emotions, this was Omega learning about Tech's emotions, and that even though he doesn't express them, he does have them.
I dont feel like this was a filler episode. Though it didn't advance the overall plot of the clone rebellion, The Bad Batch saved a whole bunch of kids from a tyrant. They made life better for them. Very heart warming episode.
While it is to each their own whether you enjoy it or not; what you have just explained is the definition of filler. I think the argument would be better suited to be that they deal with the emotional turmoil of Echo joining the clone rebellion. But that's a net time spent of like 5 minutes.
After the first season, the only two Bad Batchers we could say we knew were Hunter and Wrecker. After this season the other Bad Batchers will be fully fleshed characters. Also, after this season they've done more world building which will allow them to tell bigger stories next season. I don't know if this season will have an overarching theme, but I'm sure that this season was about coloring in the blank slate that was set up in season 1.

She looks over her shoulder, thinks, Cool, Hunter's on the way, I know he'll catch me. And over she goes. And LOOK at her face; no widened eyes, no worry, no hint of fear. Just pure determination to reach out as far as she can so he can scoop her up, because she KNOWS he will be there for her.
Watching episode 10 solo I instantly recognised the incredible voice of Yuri Lowenthal as Benni, i also find it fitting there’s a Spider-Man Chair used in this video while there’s THE Spider-Man Actor in the show
The second part of The Bad Batch episode felt like Mission Impossible meets Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. It was a nice resolution from last weeks episode.
It's never fun to be sick but Michael got "lucky" at the timing of when he did get ill given it's a double episode and you get to watching them both in one sitting

I understand your frustration, but this is a show aimed at 10-12 year Olds. What affects Omega will most likely have an emphasis. I want to know what is happening to Cross hair too, but that might be more of a surprise reveal rather than the main story. The Batch are making friends around the galaxy. That might pay off eventually.
The biggest miss is crosshair only being in one episode and we’re already 10 episodes in. The crosshair and clone rebellion storylines are much more interesting but all we really seem to be getting is the typical bad batch going on a mission. I really was hoping season 2 would step up those larger storylines but I still have hope for the final 6 episodes
Isn’t it ironic how Benni is a thief played by Yuri Lowenthal, also voices a video game version of a superhero who stops thieves? I just find that kinda funny, to be honest 😂.
I think we shouldn’t judge to early I feel a lot of the self journey episodes of the bad batch majority of them I feel like it’s all gonna pay off in some way like Rebels did so I Trust Dave Filoni
This show just makes me want to wait till it’s fully released to watch it all, because I honestly believe that the weekly release is really slowing down an already very slow paced show
I think people expect too much from the show. Same thing happened in clone wars were they felt like things didn’t happen or call things filler because in reality all these shows are filler for the bigger Star Wars story in general, they’re filling gaps and we’re just lucky to get nice character moments and learn about these people And connect with some of their stories like highlighting that tech might be autistic in this world and learning how he feels and has his emotions compared to others. I feel like sometimes things don’t have to happen that effect the universe in a big way. I’m just glad we’re getting these stories and it’s a cute fun kid show to enjoy
This episode I assume will service the grander story, but mostly just for Benny to come back in a later season to contribute some ipseum for a mission. A bit of a mini rebellion's against the empire that maybe the grander universe wont be aware of. The story of the second episode was honestly too cliché of a trope for me.
GREG WATCH TREASURE PLANET RIGHT NOW. Also I'm not sure why everyone is expecting this show to have a huge over-arching story. The Clone Wars wasn't like that and neither was season 1 of Bad Batch. Plus we all forget that this show is literally for kids.
My favorite episodes of the Bad Batch were the ones with Cody and the ones about the clones and Palaptine's secret scheming... A.K.A the Bad Batch episodes... WITHOUT the Bad Batch! XD
These two episodes were really cool, I thought they great and really fun. I especially liked the major Western movie feelings episode 9 gave off. It even gave off some Lord of the Rings feelings when they got trapped in the mine. I also loved the score for this episode, it really sold that Western theme it seemed to be going for and felt very dramatic at times. And just like always, the animation is super beautiful, and stunning, it just seemed like every scene on this new planet took things up to the next level when it came to the coloring and detail. It was All really amazing and just so visually pleasing with each new shot. And even though Benni was pretty annoying at some points it was really cool that Yuri Lowenthal did his voice. Also this is kind of random but I really liked the character design fir Mokko. And I have got to say, episode 9 is in my opinion, the best Tech episode this show has ever given us. Although in other episodes, like Faster, we are able to truly see just how smart and intellectual Tech is, this is the first episode where we get to explore his emotions and how he views things. And I think his scene towards the end of the episode with Omega was so perfect because not only does he talk about this type of thing for the first time but for one of the first times in this show you can hear his emotions peering through the tone of his voice. I also really loved Omega in that episode, especially seeing all her interactions with Tech. And I liked being able to see more of her emotions towards Echo’s departure and how it effected her emotions especially after their ship was stolen. And with the ending of this episode and what seems to be happening in this overall season, I have a feeling that the Batch won’t be staying with Cid for much longer. With everything they’ve done for her and after everything she’s put them through, and she still doesn’t seem to treat them with the respect they deserve, I just feel like they’re going to be so fed up with her that they will take their chances on their own rather then say working for her. Overall I felt like these were really fun episodes, and I cannot wait to see next week’s episode. Personally I still really liked them and thought they were really cool. Although, after episodes 7 and 8 these two really feel like a side step in the story. I know there’s still 6 episodes left so they could easily get back to that story, I just hope that they don’t wait until the last two episodes to do it. Either way I can’t wait to see what will happen in the show next. And I am super curious to see where the rest of the story will lead the Batch and what will happen in next week’s episode.

My name (minus one " n ") is now officially part of canon thanks to Benni! He even looked like me a bit. Aside from that awesomeness, you can't have episodes like this after last week's where things took place to really advanced the plot in a significant way that directly leads to much bigger events in the SW universe. In this case how and why clones were eventually replaced. Last week's episode really showed me why this series needs to exist. This week's made me ask what's the point.
Do we really need everything to be connected to a grander story? Why? The Clone Wars was just small stories and arcs bunched up in seasons and no-one had a problem with it. This is basically the same thing on a more contained scale and with an underlying plot about this clone conspiracy as opposed to TCW's big underlying plot of Palpatine playing both sides.
I'm really enjoying this season probably because Tech is my favorite clone period and I love the development hes getting. But overall I like where the story is going I definitely think they are going to leave Cid.
Visually this season has been phenomenal! However, I haven't really enjoyed the season as a whole. The batch can't catch a break, it seems like almost every episode ends in a loss for them. I hope they play into the clone rebellion for the rest of the season. The plot for this season does not make as much sense as season 1.
I don't know what all the fusses are about. So far only episodes 7&8 were nice...It's really not so good, I think they should point more on business with the empire then seperate missions and a lot of bull then lookin for this ipsium. Focus the series on what has happened with crosshair, what Echo does with Rex, what the Batch will do fighting the empire...every now and then there's a nice episode, but most are really unimpressive and expected a lot of more action. Like the ones in the first season, and in the 7th season of the clone wars...A missed opportunity.

It's not all about plot. The episodes were very character central. It definitely can't be classified as filler as the characters go through important emotional changes. It's part of their arc - especially Omega accepting that Echo left and how she deals with that pain differently to the other members. It's actually really compelling writing
These are filler episodes but enjoyable. Love the friendship grooming between Orega And Tech. Excited for The rest. Hope to get more Crosshair And Ahsoka meeting The Bad Batch.
