  • Hey everyone! Today, we're making a super simple and refreshing Indian snack - the Dahi Sandwich, also known as a Yogurt Sandwich! This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a light lunch, after-school snack, or anytime you need a cool and creamy bite.

    Ingredients:
    4 Slices Bread (white, wheat, or multigrain)
    ¼ cup Thick Yogurt (Greek yogurt or plain curd)
    ¼ teaspoon Salt (or to taste)
    1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Coriander Leaves (cilantro) (Optional)
    Chopped Vegetables (optional): Cucumber, tomato, onion, bell pepper (any combination you like!)
    Black Mustard Seeds
    Red Chili Flakes (optional)
    Butter or Ghee (optional)
    Instructions:
    Toast the bread slices in a toaster or pan until lightly golden brown (optional). You can also use untoasted bread for a softer texture.
    In a bowl, whisk together the yogurt, salt, and chopped coriander leaves (if using). Adjust the salt to your preference.
    Add a pinch of red chili flakes to the yogurt mixture for a bit of a kick.
    If using vegetables, chop them finely.
    Spread a generous amount of the yogurt mixture on one slice of bread. Top with your favorite chopped vegetables (if using).
    Add another slice of bread to create your sandwich. Repeat with the remaining bread and yogurt mixture.
    If you used untoasted bread and want a bit of extra flavor, spread a thin layer of butter or ghee on the outside of the sandwich before serving.
    Cut the sandwich in half diagonally or into squares, and enjoy your cool and creamy Dahi Sandwich!
    Tips:
    Use thick yogurt for the best consistency. If your yogurt is thin, strain it in a cheesecloth for a few minutes to remove excess whey.
    Experiment with different types of bread - try multigrain or pumpernickel for a different flavor profile.
